Saves time
My art teacher recommended this product in order to tell if a watercolor addition of a tree would look good. I painted the tree onto the film and saw where and how big the tree the tree should be. After I finish the painting, I can remove what I painted with water and use the film again. She liked the quality of the film also

Great for sketching with Oil Paints
Duralar films is a relatively inexpensive painting surface for sketching and idea crafting. It takes oil paints fairly decently but is slightly prone to picking up finger prints. If it an ultra smooth surface almost like painting on glass which makes is very useful for those who are doing more illustrative designs. It should be noted that for painters who prefer more traditional approaches to painting the surface does stain from more powerful colors but it is fairly difficult to created toned surfaces and artists should be aware of the issues relating to transparency. Because the sheet is completely clear it may lead to some artists having issues with tone changes and I would recommend tacking the sheets to a neutral surface or priming the backside with an acrylic.

Grafix firbwatercolor
Works well using thick watercolor paint or a couple of layers and nice to use as you get a better idea before you paint it on your watercolor paper.. Akso washes right off afterwards to use again.

Wonderful product!
I had my doubts about this product but now I love it and plan to buy more. There are tons of YouTube vids that shows the best way to use this product. I really love it and will buy the other products to play around with them!

Impressive!
I can't wait to use this - I saw some fascinating videos on Youtube by artists who use this as a way of making 3D flowers and leaves, letting them dry and gluing them onto a canvas. What the various artists did was to use piping tips - the same as you'd use when piping rosettes and leaves on cakes - but using acrylic heavy body neutral or white acrylic mediums such as a heavy body gesso or medeling paste, adding a colourant such as acrylic inks, pigments, or acrylic paints, and mix them together just as you would if you were preparing icing for a cake. Then you put it into a piping bag with whatever tip you're using and make various flowers and leaves directly onto this Dura-Lar which has been taped onto a scrap piece of wood board for stability to let dry. Then, after the flowers or whatever you're designing have dried, they then remove what they made and attach it to a canvas, or in one example, a photo frame. Genius! I can't wait to try this out myself! This Dura-Lar was recommended by both artists.
