EZ-103 EZ Oil Drain Valve

I never knew an oil drain valve could make such a difference until I got this one. No more crawling under the car with a wrench and a dripping mess—this valve lets me drain oil cleanly and fast. It fits perfectly, seals tight, and I haven’t had a single leak. Changing oil feels way less like a chore now. If you do your own maintenance, this little gadget is a total game-changer. Easy to install, even easier to use. Seriously, why didn’t I get one sooner?

I used the same Fomoto Oil Drain Valve on my last 3 Japanese cars and one European car, and it never leaked at all. It was handed down from car to car and used the same gasket too. I forgot to remove it before I sold my last car, so.... I now have an EZ Drain Valve on my latest Toyota, and while it appears to be a die cast metal of some kind, as opposed to the Fomoto which was all-brass, the EZ seems very well made and even has a little gripper on the open handle the Fomoto didn't have. The opener slides open a bit easier too. The only thing I wish is that it would drain a bit faster and more complete. When I leave it open to drain all night, it drains the pan just fine, but sometimes I need to do a quick oil change. Since the nastiest oil comes out first when you open the valve, I'm not too concerned about getting the last drop of old oil out, but I do wait til it's a drip every 10 seconds or so. SUMMARY... The EZ Drain Valve is WELL worth the money. It speeds up oil changes and makes oil draining less messy.

Works just as well as Fumoto. Makes oil changing easy and without a mess. Installed on all my families vehicles. Update. I took off to see how much oil is still in the pan because I thought the threaded portion was a little long. There remains oil if only the valve is opened. I plan on removing the valve from time to time to fully drain the pan.

It kinda lose on my Camry 2010 and it mess up my thread for my reg nuts can’t tightening it correctly anymore may have mess up tread Might have to replace the whole oil pan now because of it I guess if you put on ez drain valve lose just return right away don’t even try to tighten it down hoping it will work not worth the trouble in my opinion

This product fit the referenced application properly and has function as advertised. No complaints at this time. I have installed it in on over 3 vehicles and am glad I did. It saves me time on oil changes and helps prevent stripped drain plugs by less skilled “mechanics”. Some vehicles I don’t even need to lift to change the oil anymore (provided I can change the oil filter without lifting the car).

I was excited at first to get this, but realized that it does make changing the oil a little easier and a little cleaner, but really it just replaces me having to grab a 14mm socket. I still have to have an oil catch container, I still have to get underneath the truck, I still have to recycle the oil, I can just get my hand out of the way faster than before. It does not save me the trouble of replacing the oil filter or cleaning up the oil that spills out of that. it does save me the trouble of having to replace gaskets but negates the magnet that I had built into the drain plug, and cannot put a magnet on this. It does do everything it claims to do, but they must have a great advertisement because, this really saves about two minutes worth of time, but does prevent the unlikely stripping of a drainpug threads. I mean the claims are 100% true, they did not lie at all, but it’s just one of those things where you’re much more excited to get it and think you need it, but are underwhelmed when you use it. It’s not a bad product at all, but really unless you have a hard to reach plug, and need to hook a hose to it, really is at least comparable to a popcorn button on a microwave versus entering the time manually, you still have to get the popcorn, put in in the microwave, press popcorn button or enter in “2:15”, wait for it to cook, take it out and clean up. All the stuff you don’t want to do, you still have to do, it’s really the easiest part of and oil change replaced, but none of the stuff you actually don’t like doing. I will say, getting an oil sample is easier, but I don’t have to do anything to get under my truck. I used to use a manual oil pump or siphon with aquarium tube, but again, saves me just a small amount of time. Am I happy I got it? Kind of. Do I regret it buying it? A little, but if it was like $10-$15 instead of $30 I wouldn’t have. Does it make changing oil easier? A little easier? Did they lie at all? No. Was I excited to buy it? Yes. Did I get all the benefits I pictured in my head? No. Will you have to do the same amount of work if you didn’t purchase this? Yep. Is it marketed right? You betcha. Did I get played? Not exactly. Would I buy it for other vehicles? Probably not... but it’s really not badly made or a liability, and saves about as much time as using a spork instead of a spoon and fork. So brilliantly made with quality and pride but what I’d really appreciate and find a necessecity to have would be something that facilitates an easier filter change on a first generation Toyota Tacoma. Because the real hinderence is getting the skid plate off or skipping it and spilling oil all over it with less room to work. I they can do that, I would gladly pay $30 dollars for that, maybe even double. For this item however, really just takes having to get a socket wrench out of the equation, everything is the same.

I bought this item after seeing the reviews off YouTube. Was skeptical and worried at first that it would open up while driving. Well after 2 years after install no leaks or the valve coming open while driving. This is a must have to save your skin from hot oil. It is also wonderful for collecting oil samples by opening the valve then shutting off. I have had no leaks or negative things to say about this product. It will make changing your oil feel like a breeze. Will buy additional ones for future vehicles. Highly recommended this product.

Had this for a number of years in multiple vehicles. They made my oil changes quick and easy. Save a lot of time and money to DIY. Quality build. never had a leak in any of my 3 vehicles in the last 6 years.

オイル交換は楽になりました。 手も汚れず簡単に出来ます。 作業工程トータルで約15分前後で終了しますね。 廃油パック、タイヤスロープがあればの話しになりますが。 タイヤスロープは各メーカーから約3000円～8000円前後で販売されてます。 私は毎月１回オイル交換してますので必須です。 あると便利です。 オイルも20L缶購入してます。 オイルフィルターも年間(6個)常備してます。 車種によってはバルブアダプターが必要になりますが1500円前後ですのでトータル約2万円で1年間はオイルメンテナンスはバッチリです。 月平均で計算すると約1700円前後。 もう少し安価にするならベースオイルを安価にすると良いですね。 因みに個人的にオイルは100%化学合成油(20L 12000円前後)を使ってます。 追伸 １回のオイル量が約3.0L使うので40L計算すると約32000円前後掛かります。

Bought the correct one for my car and it makes oil changes so much easier. I have had these on all of my vehicles and they are a must for those who change their own oil. Super easy to just line up pan underneath the car and flick it open to drain the car. Much better than fussing around and worrying about stripping threads or buying new crush rings every change.
