⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Little Tikes Cape Cottage Pretend Princess Playhouse Review We absolutely love the Little Tikes Cape Cottage Pretend Princess Playhouse! It is the sweetest little playhouse and perfect for imaginative play. The colors are adorable and give it that true “princess cottage” feel without being over the top. Assembly was pretty straightforward and didn’t take too long. The pieces snapped together well and it feels sturdy once put together. It’s lightweight enough to move around the yard or even indoors if needed, but durable enough to handle everyday play. My little one loves opening and closing the door and windows, and it’s the perfect size for toddlers and young kids. It encourages creativity and independent play, which is always a win! If I had to mention anything, it’s that it’s best suited for younger children (toddlers to early elementary age), but that’s exactly what we needed. Overall, I would definitely recommend this playhouse for anyone looking for a cute, durable, and fun outdoor (or indoor) play space for their little princess! 👑✨

I bought this playhouse for my son's 3rd birthday and it's been a total success. He absolutely loves it! I really like that the windows and front door opens and closes, it keeps him entertained and gives him his own little "house" to play in. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to assemble. It’s also fairly lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the yard. The only minor issue I noticed is some slight discoloration in the plastic—a sort of marbling effect—that looks like a manufacturing flaw. (see picture) However, it doesn't affect the sturdiness or the fun at all. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it for a toddler's birthday!

I will say the house is much flimsier than those made 10-15 years ago. 1 person can put it together. I have it in my home, but on the inside there are holes where the house can be anchored to the ground for outdoor play. My grandson is 2.5 years old and absolutely loves it! There are 2 cute little flagpole holders on the front and back.

We put it on the porch. I don’t think you’d want to leave it outside in the weather. The price was great for what it is. It’s not the “old timey” kind that has really thick walls. It was fairly easy to put together. I think it will last under the porch for a few years. However if you have a young one that tries to climb or get too active in the house it might not be the best choice. For instance our little one wants to press down on the little shelf that is opposite of the door, and I don’t think that shelf will last long. In my opinion they should have put some kind of support under that shelf so it won’t come apart. Our little one loves it. We decorated it to make it extra special .

I'm still giving this 5 stars just because it's adorable and my 1 year old is going to love this! The only issues I had with it is some of the walls came with what looks like scuff marks all over them, that I am not able to get rid of even with a good wipe down. Pictures attached. Also, the door does not seem to want to close already. I hope that changes over time. Otherwise, this is perfect. Very easy to put together, I followed along with the Youtube video (QR code is given on paper instructions) Thank you Little Tikes!

This little cottage was the perfect addition to our kids play area! The doors and windows open and close making it feel like a real home for pretend play. The material is really sturdy and durable. We had it sitting outside for all 4 seasons, and it hasn’t lost any color. It was fairly easy to put together and it’s very lightweight making it easy to move. It kept my kids entertained for hours and out of the house. This is a great pick!

I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter and have it sitting on our outdoor deck. I read several reviews about this playhouse being cheap. The plastic walls are a bit flimsy, but when you put the entire thing together it's sturdy. It's not heavy so it's easy to move around. That's a plus. There are screw holes in the bottom of the playhouse if you want to screw it down to a flooring deck (plywood). Assembly wasn't too bad. The two door side pieces need to slide into each other (top into bottom). The instructions say to use dish soap to add some lube. I didn't, but I was still able to work the pieces together although it wasn't as easy. Other than that, the playhouse was very simple and easy to build. The only issue I have is the flag mounts (one on each door side). The playhouse doesn't come with a flag so I thought I'd make one using a wooden dowel. You need to be very careful with this because the flag pole will slump down a bit when put into the pole holder. This might make the end of the pole the level of a child's eye. So, I decided not to use a flag. I think if you get a really short flag pole and put a knob on the end it'd be safer. Either way, my granddaughter didn't notice the flag missing and used the mounting bracket to hang a bucket with her toys. Children are very resourceful. Overall, we're very pleased with this playhouse and my granddaughter loves it. However, I may have to build a rain proof cover over my deck. My granddaughter want's to go outside to play in her house even when it's pouring rain. LOL!

The house is cute, but it is very flimsy and the door is cracked it’s not like the older plastic little tyke houses. They were more heavy duty..

My 15 month old grandson is obsessed with this playhouse. Plays in it all day long

Santa got this for the kiddos during a sale and it sat with a blanket draped over the box until Xmas Eve. Elves had a simple job of assembly - took less time than wrapping all the other gifts! 4 months later, it’s holding up well. My kids are hard on their toys; this has had its windows and doors slammed over and over, my 3 year old has full-on flipped the whole thing in a meltdown on a couple of occasions, they hit and kick and bang on the walls with toys, and it still looks the same as when we assembled it. Please note it is used for indoor use - if you had it outside or in direct sunlight, the stickers would likely fade a bit.
