Effective!
While these are not sturdy or easy to assemble and leave you feeling quite sticky, they WORK. My plants acquired fungus gnats and I was losing my mind trying to kill them. I put these in my plants and within minutes, almost every gnat was caught. They are very effective and if you can, you don't need to put them in the little holders and they work just as well if they are open and sitting on a pot vs folded into the holder. They're also a great deal, as you get a ton for $6. I will definitely buy again if this issue arises in the future, which it hopefully does not!

Not a bad option
They work really well if you can get them to stay in the holders. They are smaller than many of the other options so work well for smaller planters ore areas. The come in strips that you have to loop and fit into plastic holders, the holders aren't very sturdy so they don't hold the strips very well and the strips fall out into the pot or stick to the plant leaves. I have started just putting the strips directly into the dirt because the holders are so difficult.

These really work!
I think these work so well! I've been using them because I started to see fungus gnats in my meyer lemon and calamondin orange tree pots. They're outdoors in spring, summer and fall and indoors in the winter. They were beginning to fly around my home and I didn't want them getting into any of my other potted plants. My pictures show how many from just one strip in one pot I caught over 5 weeks. I haven't seen a gnat flying around since I put these in. I just put fresh strips in the pots today because my Sheltie brushed against the pots and got a couple strips stuck in her hair. No big deal, just something to watch out for. The strips are crazy sticky. You will get residue on your fingers when putting them together but I was able to wash it off with just soap and water. Over all a great product.

Post provided to mount adhesive pads will not hold!
I'll start with the negatives and end with one positive when purchasing this product. Adhesive pads are nearly impossible to mount on the plastic holders yet will readily stick to your fingers when trying to apply, there is a useless shovel tool which I'm guessing is only there to look cute and the value is not there for what purchase and shipping fee are. The one positive is that the yellow adhesive pads do capture a lot of bugs if you just stick them to the pot!

Just okay, not great
Noticed some gnats around my orchids and thought I would try these because they were affordable and they look a little cuter than some of the other yellow gnat traps I've used in the past. I probably wouldn't buy these again though because they were just too frustrating to use. The yellow sticky parts did not seem to want to stay, they would pop open and out of the green plastic piece most of the time. And they were kind of difficult to get into the holder without sticking all over my fingers. The couple times I was able to get them to work correctly and get the sticky yellow part to stay put, they did seem to work well at catching gnats at least.

Very sticky
Slight learning curve but works great at catching those annoying gnats that hang around my plants. Very sticky!

Very cheaply made which causes more problems very fast.
At first I thought these were going to work fine, but that idea started fading pretty quickly. The first thing I noticed was that the yellow sticky strips are sticky on both sides, thats a really good thing because you could actually use the one side to catch a bunch of those little P.O.S. fungus gnats, and then instead of having to replace the sticky strip with a new one, you can just flip it around and have almost a brand new one! Unfortunately, thats where the praise stops and the complaining starts. First, the sticky adhesive they use is way too sticky, noticably more so than other brands. You would think that would be a good thing, but I can assure you it's not. It means the peel away tabs on about every 2nd or 3rd one are stuck on there so badly that they don't want to come off, so then while fighting with it, you get the sticky stuff all over your hands and fingers and it is SUPER annoying.....so yeah, the excessive stickiness is just all around bad! Then, the little posts that you put the sticky strips on to and stick in the soil are super cheaply made. I did notice this as soon as I opened the package, but I didn't think it would be an issue due to how little I actually handle them once they're fitted with the sticky strips and stuck into the soil in the pots of the plants. Well, I was very wrong! Each little stick has two sets of prongs sticking out of the sides, each one has two jagged prongs that are set super close to eachother forming teeth that are supposed to grab on to the sticky strips. Out of the box these are fairly tight and you have to put a small amount of force on the sticky strips to get them inserted all the way in between of the prong clamp thingys. That is also where the main problem is. The plastic is so cheap and/or low grade that after only a few days, they don't stay seated tightly together anymore. Because of this, the stips start falling out constantly when you slightly tap them on purpose or accident and of course that also means that more sticky crap gets all over your hands and fingers! No matter how much I've tried, I can not squeeze them to where they will stay tightly together again, they just loosen right back up. Long story short, these will look like they are going to be fine and do what they need to do at first, but then they will quickly turn into a messy, sticky headache and you will begin tossing them into the garbage one, after another, after another as they all quickly become useless. Even with the low price, which is honestly why I bought them, these are not at all worth saving a couple bucks in my opinion. I will never purchase this brand again.

Effective
Caught a gnat within minutes of installing in my plants. Very sticky, very effective. Sometimes hard to fold up like the picture due to stiffness of the trap and extreme adhesive, but you can just stick it in on one end and it is still just as effective at catching bugs.
