HDT Design started from selecting a material. Italian waterproof treated calf is used for the upper leather. Lining is waterproof Swiss Leather. Orginally developed for pilots at German Air-force. There is leather padding underneath the watch case to prevent metal burn on skin when sudden temperature change occures in the cockpit. This means that there is minimal contact of metal to skin (except the buckle part) so, it is also ideal for metal allergy sufferers.

As Good as I Hoped
This bund strap is all I hoped for. It came sturdy & stiff and the leather was a very dark, even blue without texture but I rolled it and twisted it until it softened and this resulted in a slightly marbled appearance exactly as in the website photo and it looks a little lighter in colour now too, again as in the photo. It comes with a changing tool but is not equipped with quick-change pins and in fact doesn't come with any pins at all, but once you get it on the watch you're done with that issue and it looks so good I doubt anyone would ever want to remove it again unless to put it on an even better watch. I don't agree with another reviewer that the leather looks fake and doesn't smell like leather. Because it smells like leather and it does not look fake. As for the design, I saw a bund pad, just the pad, being sold by another maker and the ends of the pad were a little longer and so would curve down the sides of the wrist a little further, which I wish this one did, but that pad appears to be single-layer while this one is a double-layer pad that will never curl up at the edges or get slack or sloppy, which is more important to me than the design difference. This is just an excellent product, well worth its price, and it has totally renewed the look of the watch it's on. When more colours - black! - come back into stock I'll convert another watch to this strap because its quality is apparent at even a casual glance. After wearing it for a while I decided to give the leather a treat. I massaged it with saddle soap. Mistake. It took the shine off the leather and I now think the waterproofing is a kind of lacquer sprayed on over the surface, not something infused into the leather in the tanning process. I buffed it with neutral shoe polish and got a sheen back but I should have left well enough alone and not used the saddle soap. So if you're sitting around with nothing to do but admire your new bund strap and you're tempted, don't.

Cheapest price best quality.
A Bund was designed for field duty. This is a dress-watch quality band and it was exactly what I wanted. It will stay with this watch forever.

Quite Surprised Of The Quality
Galaxy gear s3 watches are extremely hard to find Bund Straps or any type of quality cuff strap thats not custom made with the cut out for the sensor. Although this one didn't have one either, I still took a chance that it would be just wide enough for me to do the cutout myself. Backing up a bit, there are a few CHEAPER ones on here that have the cut out and they are literally made from some type of fiber paper or something. Really, really cheap looking, fitting etc. This one at least to me, seems to be made of leather well padded, stiff at first, but I rolled it up a few times and it instantly gave it a real vintage look and fit like a glove. All I used to cut the hole was a new very sharp hole saw blade and whacked it with a hammer, then using a utility knife finished the cutting. It came out perfect and although it's an inner and outer layer of leather, it's glued in the middle and so far I see no separation whatsoever. As far as changing goes, I just pull it back from the band a little bit and it slips right into the wireless charger. Added a back stainless steel butterfly double push spring clasp and it is perfect. As soon as I get a chance I'll put some picks up, so you can get a better idea of how nice it looks. It would be nice in the future if they actually took it upon themselves to just have one with the cut out and for that reason I'm giving it a 4.

the color is very nice. As far as waterproof
Not to big not to small, a lot of the watch shows, which is the idea; yet, the bund is also visible. The leather is a bit hard at the beginning but it softness out with use, the color is very nice. As far as waterproof, I didn’t test it, nor would I because if I wanted to submerge it I would have bought a rubber strap.

Avoid this costume quality strap
This "waterproof leather" strap was little more than brown paint on some garbage plastic. I bent the "leather" to shape under the watch I intended to use it with and the brown finish cracked and separated. The only thing that was as advertised with this strap is the size. $40 is an absurd amount of money for this costume quality "leather" and the example photos are incredibly misleading, avoid this at all costs.

Very nice!
Very happy with the band. My neighbor is even happier because I had to give it to him. ALWAYS double check your measurements! I ordered the largest they had and the lug size is perfect. It just was not big enough to fit my wrist. The leather marbles up nicely when bent and twisted giving it a nice crinkle and aged look. The stitches seems well placed and strong. It’s a thicker leather due to the process of weatherproofing it. All in all I was impressed with the quality versus price ratio. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a replacement watch band.

As advertised, would buy again
I don’t understand the negative reviews this has gotten. Mine is terrific. Totally as described and looks great. I’ve shopped on Amazon for 20 years and this is my first review. Maybe the quality varies but all I can say is mine is great…black with white stitching, 24mm
