Bearing went out on our old blade assembly. This fits well and works. It squeals a little louder at the lower speeds. Seems to be a good value.

Fit the older Vitamix perfectly!
Fit my older Vitamix perfectly, the blades increased how well it blended frozen whole fruit.

Lasted 4 months before it went up in smoke.
It was working fine for about 4 months. Then one day we were blending up some frozen bananas when the blender literally started smoking! Low and behold, the bearings in this blade assembly had started grinding themselves to death. We found the blade locked in place and the base covered in fine metallic powder after we had turned everything off. Never had that problem with our original blade assembly from vitamix! And we blend frozen bananas all the time.

MONEY saver
I thought I'd have to replace my Vita-Mix blender when it wouldn't blend. But after watching YouTube videos, I was able to fix it myself by only replacing the blade. You don't need to buy some "key" or "wrench" like some of the videos showed. I was able to use pliers. So this was great to fix my blender.

It fits my Vitamix 5200 container. It exactly the same size as the part that I removed from my container. I've only made a couple of smoothies with this part, so I cannot comment on its longevity.

I would give stars if the product was useful at all. But mine came way too small to fit where it's supposed to. It felt good, the main assembly wasnt close to identical to the orignal, steel didnt look as high end as the original though. But the second I poured liquid into it, it started leaking heavily, making the part completely useless.
