Simple to use with straightforward instructions. Accuracy is spot on and it very quickly showed me why a Rhododendron wasn’t fairing well in the garden. The soil wasn’t anywhere near acidic enough. I would highly recommend this kit for anyone who wants to know their soil PH

I tried this test one 4 raised beds for veg growing that grew nothing last year. They were new beds and had been under weed fabric and stones for years and years, i only added multi purpose compost at that time. I added farmyard manure around Oct last year, and again about 8 weeks ago with a top layer of veg growing compost. I did a slice as instructed in each bed cutting through the layers, mixed up each sample separately. I tested after 3 hours and then after the reccomend for best results, 8 hours. I used distilled water. The results at 3 hours and 8 hours were the same. I did give the strips a quick dip in distilled water for each test after the minute wait. That really helps remove dirt so you can see the results better. All my beds were 7.0. I also tested a fresh bag of Miracle Grow Fruit and Veg compost that I will be using in bags and pots, that came out as 6.0. 6.0 to 7.0 is neutral, the best PH for most plants. I am chuffed. I also have a probe that measures moisture and temp as well as PH. They are all consistent, so I am happy with this product and now feel confident about my probe too. Very happy woth the ease of use, instructions really clear. Also gives advice on how to balance soil that is too acidic or alkaline. Fortunately for me don't have to do that. Unless anything I want to grow needs that type of soil.

The pH papers are fine but the AI thing does not work. There is no 8 digit code as requested, and it did not accept the image, so useless.

So easy to use and very accurate. I took a picture of the dipped result and had a result in minutes. I had a few azaleas which I now know I need to move

Needed to know what type of soil and water in my area as I have an acid loving plant. I've had the meter type before but this kit seems more accurate.

Accurate better than the expensive PH pens which were returned as not working wouldn't calibrate. Well chuffed the ph in our tap water and plant water levels are perfect. The ph in tap water was very high at one point and bordering unsafe to drink. Bought these not expecting much but very suprised & happy.

Only used once. I used the AI application, it was very easy and convenient to read the results.

Item looks like a return sold as "new"... Cardboard packaging arrived torn and deformed, and the bottle inside that house the strips also had it's seal broken.

Found the strips easy to use. As directed, 1/2 c of distilled and 1/2 c of soil...mix...wait 30 minutes. Swish just inside the mixture and shake off. I have 2 different gardens and I got a 6.5 on one and a 6.4 on the other. I will use periodically throughout the growing season, too.

I needed to know the ph of my soil as I just had landscaping done and also planted a gardenia on my own. For the gardenia, it has specific ph requirements and I didn’t want to pay a lab for just one shrub. I think it works well, if you follow the instructions, you just have to be patient as there is some time to wait for results. Reading the results was a little tricky because you have to compare results to examples provided. I was able to do it, and I’m glad because I don’t have to treat my soil. The kit does give some recommendations if you have to treat your soil. Works well for a DIYer. If you need more certainty, might want to send to a lab for exactness.

Our potatoes and carrots did not grow as well as previous years. This kit told us how to modify the soil, we are looking forward to once again having good crops this year.
