It's a beautiful mat, and I love the lines drawn on it, which help with the correct alignment. But, having a travel mat before, I expected a different quality material. This mat does not have a good grip. Don't be fooled by other reviewers. Your hands will slide in downward facing dog for sure, sweaty or dry - doesn't matter. The fabric is very velvety. It's like exercising on a blanket. I guess, this is what you get for this price. Ironically, if you flip the mat around, the back side has a very good grip, but it's black. It's a shame to do this with such a beautifully designed mat, but it may be the only way to use it. Really disappointed in it.

Excellent yoga mat for travelling. Folds up nice and flat to fit in your luggage, and comes with a handy zipper pouch whth a wrist strap so you can easily tote it around your destination.It's only a millimetre thick, so it's not the most comfortable thing if you're using it on concrete or hardwood, but it's fine if you're using it on even thin carpet, and absolutely perfect to throw on top of another mat if you are attending a yoga studio that provides normal mats to use.For grippyness it's not terrible in dry classes, though sometimes I do have to put a bit of effort into not slowly sliding in downward dog. But at the beginning of class I pour a tiny puddle of water onto the floor beside my mat and can dip my hands in it as needed and it's fine. In a hot class, this mat is perfect and I don't slip at all. The backside of the mat is rubber and super grippy to whatever surface you've got it on.If you're looking for a thin mat which packs small and can be used on its own or over a studio mat, this one is excellent value for money, I think. :)

I have just finished a workout on my new Pido Yoga Mat and I am very happy with it. I used it first of all on top of my normal mat to check the size and it completely fitted on top. I did a workout for an hour and there was absolutely no slippage whatsoever. I also tried it on my floor which is made of ceramic tiles and once again no slippage. I tried it with the addition of a yoga towel also on the floor and it worked well, the travel mat stayed in place. The mat feels heavier than I expected for travelling with, however, the mat feels robust and durable. I did sprinkle a little water on the mat before I started my practice but I didn't need to as my hands and feet did not slip and the mat has a good 'grippy' feel without the aid of water. The mat feels suede-like to touch and is quite comfortable. The mat feels like a very good quality product. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a travel mat that would work for all types of yoga or pilates. The mat comes with a carrier bag which is useful.

The mat comes in a bag which is great and easy to pack. It has a rubber back which is great for the beach, I.e. damp surface and it wipes clean. I washed it in the washing machine post holiday and it is still ok. It’s thin and if you are using it on a very hard surface you might find it a bit too hard. I love it as it’s easy to travel with.

A good product. It is extremely thin therefore there is no padding. I tested it out on top of my usual Yoga mat and it was fine. It comes with a nice bag to carry it around in. If you require more comfort I would suggest placing a towel underneath whilst using. It takes up less space than a conventional mat as it folds flat. I found that it didn’t slip whilst I was holding positions. I like it!!Further thoughts...I’ve had this mat for a few months now. I still love it and I have given it 5 stars because it is lovely. However I’ve discovered that is more on the ornamental side as it is slippery in positions. So go ahead and buy it as a useful travel option but be careful during Yoga.

Thanks to everyone who answered my questions about the material!!♡I sent an email to the company. They said the Suede is made of polyester, not the real leather. I take their word for it 😉!I only used it on the carpet so far. I find the polyester a bit slippery at times but I really like the feel of the mat. Seems durable and good quality. It folds and unfolds nicely. Beautiful mat, I am pleased so far 😊😊

Beautiful colour and looks really good on a wooden floor. However, it’s so thin so not very practical for prone exercise or side, back or knees. When standing on it with bare feet it can slide a bit on the floor and my feet were also moving a bit too on the mat. The mat slips a bit on carpet although better comfort for mat work. Better off buying a proper mat and rolling it up if you can. It’s convenient for me as sometimes I take it with me when riding my bike so storage is an issue so this mat was ok for that.

Bought for my 14 year old daughter to do warm ups for dancing via Skype during lock down,It does slip a little on carpets, it works / grips better on hard floors etc.It does fit inside the carry bag it comes with, but you gave to fold the mat up, which we think is a little odd. She rolls the mat up and doesn't use the bag. (so just one star for travel)On the whole it’s ok, good quality.
