This is an excellent product, I have seen significant increases in data transfer rates, when servers with load balancing that requires more than above average response times, otherwise it would result in drop outs and connection issues. This switch comes highly recommended if you have a small Business or start-up and have constraints on finance. Obviously you can end up spending thousands on such a set up, but it’s prudent to start with adequate hardware set up and build up from there. Five stars for this reasonably priced product and Amazon delivery.

Brought this switch to use at home and replace a Belkin 5 port gigabit switch. Can be rack mounted but if you are after something to sit on your desk check out  TP-Link 16-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch  instead - it's not as bulky. Plug in your cables and your ready to go. Average copy speed is now around 50Mb throughput to my NAS - I was getting 35Mb with the Belkin. Five stars as I have not had a single issue with it and it just works. I use it in a home environment in a cabinet which has poor ventilation (bad I know). This has not once let me down. It's been on all the since install and is cool. Throughput is excellent to. If you have a wired home network and have multiple hubs or switches in one place then this is the perfect unit to replace them. It has an internal power supply which is perfect for me, as no silly adapters are left laying around.Overall, great switch and would recommend.

An excellent product - works straight from the box. Solid metal case, internal PSU, hence no 'wall wart', and rack-mountings included. I have rack mounted it in my loft which is a convenient point for concentrating the wired connections to the various rooms in my house and hence onto various computers, televisions, blu-ray players and Sonos systems around my home. I've linked it to my 8 port desktop switch in my office upstairs and can achieve indicated gigabit speeds around the house.Can't comment on reliabilty at this stage as it's brand new but looks solidly built.(Wireless connectivity in my house is a bit patchy to say the least since the house has solid internal walls. I have used ethernet through the mains adaptors which work well but are currently limited as to throughput)

Works great for a beginner home rack system, I use mine to split out a 1GB/s to the house's smart TV's through powerlines (Netgear 1000 mbps) and it works great. It comes with some mounting ears for a rack and I just added some rubber feet to make it a desktop version. 10/10 product.
