ESV Large Print Personal Size Bible, Red Letter (TruTone, Forest/Tan, Trail Design): Holy Bible, English Standard Version

Great value with large font. I can read easily! The weight is perfect; not heavy. The imitation leather cover is nice and thick. Margins are great for writing too.

Beautiful print in a wonderful translation. I encountered this bible at a retreat in peru in a humid moldy environment. It was one of the only books on the shelf that didnt seem affected by the climate. It is designed to be read and referenced easily for long periods of time vs cheap prints that decay easily. Durable flexible cover. This one has larger than normal print and does not contain study notes.

While ultimately I decided to return this Bible, I struggled with the decision. Let me tell you why. I was shopping for a nice Bible for my dad’s birthday. He turned 69 this year. This Bible has a very nice cover which is made to look and feel like leather. The colors are earthy and peaceful. The outside edges of the pages are a golden color, which elevates the appearance of the Bible. This Bible has an attached ribbon bookmark that is super convenient and also contributes to overall elegance of the book. The print of this edition is XL! This Bible can be read with ease by anyone in any age group. A neat touch is the first letter beginning the chapter is a special font, adding to the elegant aesthetic of this Bible. Lastly, this edition of the Bible has “red letters”. For anyone who doesn’t know, the red letters are Jesus’ spoken words. The red letters make it easier to pick out Jesus’ words in the middle of a lesson or conversation. Unfortunately, the main feature I wanted specifically for my dad, this Bible was NOT a Study Bible. I have a Study Bible and my dad wanted one similar to mine. Study Bibles include much more information than a standard Bible. The extra information can include timetables, visual representations of the Temple, visual representations of the area covered by the disciples evangelism, historical and cultural context and more. Since this Bible wasn’t fitting my dad’s preference, I struggled with whether I should return it. The Bible has so many good qualities, I didn’t want to send it back. I have a Study Bible that I very much enjoy, so I decided it was impractical to keep this Bible

This is my favorite bible, excellent font size so it’s easy for me to read without my glasses on. It’s well constructed with a nice leather cover, and binding while not being overly think and heavy. I would definitely buy again.

This is a great Bible. I was looking for a word for word translation to balance out my usual usage of the NIV and the NLT, and I’m very happy with this purchase. The text is nice and readable with my old man eyes, the size is larger then the thin lines I usually use but at the same time it’s not so huge I couldn’t see it being used to carry to church. I have found the ESV text itself to be very readable despite being a word for word translation. If your a fan of the ESV and need a church bible or if your a fan of more thought for thought translations and need something more formal to balance things out you’ll be very happy with this bible, I could also see it being a good preaching Bible because of the text size and the size of the verse numbers making it easy to find your place.

Awesome Bible! It's one of the biggest Bibles I own but it's not cumbersome. The print is big enough that I can read without squinting; I actually appreciatethe font size as it's not incrediblylarge but is by no means small. I like the texture of the cover; it's very obvious that it's not real leather but I don't care too much about that--its what's on the inside that counts! But with that said I appreciate the esthetic design of this Bible.

This Bible is absolutely the perfect size!! I understand I had to give up margins to have large print in a compact size and I'm OK with that. I really didn't expect this quality at this price though! The cover, the paper, the binding are all very high quality. The lettering large, legible and is very easy to read, and again I just love the size! It's so easy to hold while you read, and easy to carry with you, just perfect! It really is an amazing value! I would have given this a 5 plus rating but, the red lettering of Jesus' words is kind of brownish, it is not really a crisp red, so it is kind of hard to discern from the black lettering, especially in lower light. It is all very legible, just not really red! And I'm spoiled I do like a red letter Bible with crisp red lettering.

This bible has a bit of weight to it: it feels good in the hand. The text is large print, which is easy for my 50-year-old eyes to read, and the cover is beautiful. It's not real leather, of course, but that's the trade-off for the price point, and it's a good trade. I am excited to spend my mornings with this bible!

Great font size (12) not to small and not giant either. Makes for an easier tracking and reading both to yourself and allowed. Definitely would recommend. I am also a fan of the ESV translation which I find easy to read.

Great translation, decent sized font, would be great for those wanting something easy to read but not TOO big and heavy. Quality is amazing for the price, single ribbon with nice durable cover. Would be best stored compressed between other books, flat or standing, just helps keep ALL leather imitation covers stay closed as the cover tends to curl open after reading. But an hour or two stacked underneath another book on your nightstand or stored in your bookshelf, will make it nice and neat every time you pull it out. Couple good footnotes as well but out of the way and not distracting. Great primary Bible for a great price.

Great bible, it's my go-to ESV copy now replacing my previous thinline ESV. It's a thicker and heavier but much more readable and the extra build quality is worth spending a little more on if you can. The red letter text varies in visibility from page to page. Sometimes it really jumps out and the next page it might be more muted in shade, still readable but not always so clear that it's red text if the lighting isn't right. The cover seems more black/brown to my eyes, not an issue just an observation, it's still a classy looking book either way.

Really nice Bible. Nice font size and great translation. Would recommend.
