these batteries are expensive but worth every penny with reliability and durability of ego products. since switching to electric i will always chose them over any gas tool for easy of use and no regular maintenance being required

Works great. So far only mowed my back yard, but still had 3/5ths of the power left. Stick with the brand name. Ego is a good product.

I just thought others may want to know the life of this battery. I have a 21" eGo mower and a 10Ah battery lasts 60 minutes (on blade speed 2 and with a moderate self propelled speed)...which is just not quite long enough to finish my lawn. So, I purchased this 5.0Ah battery to supplement my weekly lawn mowing. The battery last 25 minutes...which is a little less than 1/2 of the 10Ah battery. If you need an additional 25 minutes, this will do the job, but if you need 30 minutes, the battery won't make it.

The battery works as intended but the longevity is questionable. The first 5.0 amp stopped working after 2 years. Fortunately is was under warranty. If it was not than 300 dollars hurts because there is no guarantee how long the battery will last. The upside is the 3 year warranty. If it were not for that than I would invest in a good gas trimmer. If the tool it is being used with is going full speed the battery will not last long. The blower especially. The trimmer on low will make the battery last longer. I would hate to have to buy a battery for the mower. Break the bank.

It takes a little while to charge. I am used to the 4.0 Ah battery I use on my leaf blower. That charges in no time it seems. I have and power supply that I received as a gift and I outfitted it with this 5.0 battery. It has a 120 volt outlet and a few small sockets for cell phone and other electronic uses. Plus a built in light that is really handy in case of a power outage. Next power outage, I'll find out what this battery can do. For fun, I plugged it into a floor fan to dry a freshly wet mopped floor. It ran for ten minutes, and the power didn't even drop on the indicator light. I have a hunch this will be handy down the road. I'm glad I got the bigger battery.

Built to last! The 5.0Ah. is a solid battery option for big jobs. i use it for my EGO leaf blower. i admit it is a bit heavy using it on large leaves area to blow and will require changing hands due to the weight. Beside the weight it is very easy to load and remove from the blower. 5.0Ah. is very powerful and will get the job done.

Powerful, long-lasting. Not too heavy for hand-held devices.

An early, weaker battery, for the EGO tools eventually failed, but the higher end battery has worked like a charm. I have two of these now, which I alternately charge, and they power the lawn mower, hedge clipper, blower, and wire trimmer, and I never run out of power. I don't use the electric chain saw (still have a 2-stroke gas-powered engine for this) but love the rest of the tool set that EGO offers. The drawback is the price -- paid close to $600 Canadian for the mower, but it is very nicely designed. Overall, worth the investment -- just hoping the company is around long enough for servicing and replacement -- there's a lot of competition now in this market from the longterm powerhouse tool companies.

Difficile à trouver et très dispendieux. Les quincailleries annoncent des ventes mais en n’ont pas, c’est pour nous attirer dans leur magasin ou leur inventaire sot erronée J’ai fat 3 magasins de la même chaîne, chacun indiquait qu’il en avait, mais aucun en avait .

Shipping was very good, ahead of schedule The only gripe I have is the price. I could've purchased much cheaper from compatible makers but decided to stay with Ego because of quality doubts.. The price is about 2/3 the price I paid for the mower, battery & charger pkg. That's not logical nor reasonable. Unit came with 25% charge, took 20 min to charge, Appears to have brought my cutting time back to when the mower was new. The original 5 yr old battery was losing it's ability to hold a decent charge .
