Honda Accord LX 2005 Front Driver Lock Cylinder stopped working after one rainy day. Key would go in but wouldn't turn. This replacement was fairly easy to install and fits with no issues with the part however read the below. Note: Pretty sure others have mentioned this. When taking off the door panel be very gentle in the lift (older cars tend to have degraded cable clips [lime green] for the cable running from your interior door handle) If you break the cable clip you will need to get a new cable or repair it in some fashion because you will no longer be able to open the door from the inside with the door handle. (You could remove the interior door handle completely and attach some cord/handle to hang on the inside attached to the cable with the broken clip and pull that to open the door, though lacking in aesthetics it works.)

Really didn’t feel like pulling my door panel off so I went to a shop for the repair. Instead of having to pay for parts and labor I only had to pay for labor as I already had the part. Shop was going to charge $70-80 bucks for the keys and lock cylinder so I saved a little bit of money by purchasing on here. Key/lock still work great and I had this repair done sometime last year so it’s held up well.

This item is a LIFESAVER! My only “problem” is not having the Honda Logo on the key(Which I understand it’s for copyright purposes that it’s missing) Anyone looking to do this install should know it’s not simple as changing batteries in a remote and you WILL get a little flustered/irritated/sweaty etc lol But once it’s in, your days will be GOLDEN trust me this (along with my new keyfob) saved my life I tell ya. The cylinder has perfect fit, the key could have been cut a tad better, but hey I’m not complaining it works fine I’ll check back in a few months if anything changes. 4 our of 5 MUST BUY and I will anytime I have to again!!

Unfortunately these did not fit a Acura tsx 2005 because these or different from what is in the car

Item looked nearly identical to my vehicle part. However, I did not know the to get my vehicle part number behind cylinder. It turns out cylinder head on item was 1/32 thicker than old part, which I ended up shaving down a little of my door handle where cylinder attached. Other than that, price, part and really simple to install.
