Any of the Ram products are worth the money, they all work and do exactly what they are advertised to do. I have 8 different parts to hold phones and accessories on the aluminum plate in my dash insert and the fit and finish are perfect. I was actually wondering how well they would hold the large iPhone 12 up bouncing down the road, I live and travel on some rough roads but all of the Ram products have exceeded my expectations.

I have genuine Ram products and this is the first time I purchased an alternative ball mount product. I did this because it was significantly cheaper and it was to mount things inside a vehicle so less chance of breakage or loss if it breaks. I am pleasantly surprised how good it is. It gets a thumbs up from me as it serves the purpose.

I purchased this mount to complete a common Tacoma mod - called the "A-piller Ram mount phone holder" and I Love almost everything about this little 1" ball mount. Key word almost! Some folks have complained that the standard mount brings the phone too close to the steering wheel, so with this version having a swivel, I thought it may be a more adjustable option than the plastic Ram branded version, and I was right. Pros: - All metal design is quite rigid, does not shake at speed or over rough terrain, and should definitely stand the test of time, no concern about brittle plastic after years in the sun. - Has the capability to swivel at the mid-point, allowing you to position your device in literally 2X the number of positions as the standard RAM mount of the same size. (This is the #1 reason I chose this design) - Tension knobs are very rigid and do a great job of locking the swivel ball mount in it's intended place. Con (if you can call it that) - The cups that grip the 1"uniball are quite robust which is great, but they have maybe a bit more coverage than necessary, which does limit the maximum angle that you can set the swivel at when mounted. This is such a small issue that it almost doesn't even matter, but if you are mounting in a tight location it may pay to sand/grind a small amount of the lip away to provide a few extra degrees of adjustability. Again, so minor it won't even affect most folks. Bottom line is if you are on the fence at all, this is the superior option for a mount this size and style.

Strong and sturdy mounting arm and the rotating feature is superb. It allows me to place my phone holder in the exact location I want it that's not possible with standard non-rotating ones. It's got some weight to it and the material feels and looks like a good aluminum alloy. I struggled with keeping the arm locked in place initially and it would slip on the rubber balls, I actually took it off due to this and then tried again a week later but cleaned the mating surfaces and the ball with alcohol to see if it did anything, and there was no more slippage so make sure you clean all the mating surfaces if you don't want them to move.

I don't know why it asked to rate about suction but this arm provides no suction of any means. It clamps into the ram mount 1" ball. In that regard it is great and works perfectly!

Really like the speed of delivery. The arm is stout and made of metal instead of plastic like other competitors. Will buy more from TackForm.

Nobs close together. I have mine mounted to my brake with brake mount system. Sometimes grip on noise a real pain in the A** if wet or in a odd configuration due to other accessories. If on cross bar or riser handle bar mount, should be fine. It will securely hold large water holder system up to 32oz. I ride Indonesia, the road system and maintenance of paved roads would be equal to downtown SF, LA, NYC. Off road holding power excellent also, just remember to up size to 6" if using brakemount system. City motocycle grave size potholes, speed bumps, and motorcycle anti speed deterrents in residential area neighborhoods.

Nice but heavy. I wish it was drilled out with a bunch of holes to shave weight
