6peas Stainless Steel Hand Held Manual Citrus Juicer with Lime Green Silicone Handles

FINALLY a properly designed citrus squeezer. No more bare, cast aluminum to corrode, pit, discolor and get deposits from going through the dishwasher. No more enamel chipping off only to reveal the same cast aluminum underneath...which will corrode and cause additional enamel to chip off. Seriously, in the decades of these aluminum pieces of junk being produced, no one picked up on the fact aluminum doesn't like to be in contact with citric acid? Not one of them realized the enameled versions were inevitably going to clank off some other utensil, dish, bowl, sink, etc and become chipped only to reveal the reactive metal underneath?This squeezer is very well designed and is made of STAINLESS steel. I believe others have pointed out that this design has a tight hinge and perhaps felt like it detracted from the quality or functionality of the squeezer. I'd much rather not have to worry about the top "half" flopping and swinging around and banging into glasses, etc. I can open it up to load the fruit and the top half stays right where I put it. The tightness of the hinge doesn't hinder the operation in any way. It does an excellent job getting the juice out without blasting out a bunch of pulp. The silicone handles are very comfortable, but they will eventually start to move around a bit, especially when water gets in there. Just make sure they're on all the way before squeezing and you'll be fine. We're squeezing fruits here, not crushing rocks.If you've been looking for an excellent citrus squeezer, you can't go wrong with this one.Also, 6peas was a pleasure to do business with.

This squeezer / juicer is an upgrade from my 50 year old+ juice-o-mat (which I am retiring) for a few reasons:DISHWASHER SAFE - only needs a rinse (stainless construction) but it's dishwasher safe if I choose to run it through; the juice-o-mat parts need to be hand washed or they end up looking gross with a black film on all the surfacesNO SEEDS! - my juice-o-mat keeps most of the seeds in the tray but some get crushed and end up in the juice; there are not places for the seeds to escapeEASY TO SQUEEZE and STORE - The juice-o-mat does a great job using downward pressure but the reamer on the 6peas is almost the same size and does a great job, too. Plus I don't need shelf space for storage! Just fits in a kitchen drawerI ALWAYS roll my fruit back and forth on a hard surface to break the cels that contain the juice, regardless of the type of reamer / squeezer / juicer I use. One squeeze gets most of the juice. To get it all (I ALWAYS wash my fruit before squeezing it), l like to put two rinds together and squeeze them to make sure I get the most juice out and I don't want anything on the outside peel to get into my juice.This is one of the best kitchen tools I have purchased in the last ten years! FIVE STARS!

This thing works awesome. I’ve tried several different types of juicers but none have impress like this one. As well as the seeds are no longer a concern since they do not pass through the holes, just the juice.To sum it up, in word’s of my husband on first seeing and holding: “This is just like your grandmother’s.” Meaning nothing cheap, but an industrial quality heavy meant to LAST. It’s so rare to come across anything built like this these days. And it works just as it’s suppose to, to boot! I’ve used it several times a day since receiving since we do not use bottled juice, just fresh limes or lemons into pitcher or directly into serving glass. Along with over cooking fish and the like. No fuss, no muss, just stick a half in, sliced side down, squeeze and you’re done.Cleaning is an absolute breeze as well. No more working pulp out of grooves because there aren’t any. Just dump out the flat disk of fruit and rub/rinse out right after to keep the acidic buildup from forming, pop it on the drying rack open and it’s ready for next use.I’ve no complaints at all and highly recommend. No, some may not like the weight, it’s not light, but there’s no cheap plastic about to break off on you either.Cheers.

This is not the greatest juicer, but it gets to job done. You really have to put both halves of the lemon or lime in it to get out all the juice. I didn’t have to do that with my old one. It feels pretty strong, I’ve had it for about 6 months now and it shows no sign of eating to bend or break. It also shows no sign of paint or metal peeling like many of them do. I use mine 2+ times a week and it’s holding up well. I would not buy it again only because it doesn’t get out all the juice like my old one did. (The paint started peeling on my old one). This one is good for now until I can find that perfect one.

This a well made and substantial juice squeezer. It's a little heavier than I expected but that's because it is a "substantial" tool. It should last a long time! It extracted a lot of juice but there was still quite a bit more pulp in the rind than using an "old fashioned" type of extractor. (You know, the kind that you place the lemon over a rounded area and rotate back and forth) However, the 6peas was a very easy clean up (especially compared to the "old fashioned" kind).

I'm back to update my original 3 star review, where I said the handle sticks and clicks and made it hard to use. MOMENTS after posting that I got a lovely email from 6peas apologizing that the hinges on mine were too tight--they immediately refunded my money! Then they suggested that I oil the hinge and try again, which I did (with olive oil--if I had had mineral oil I would have used that as a food-safe oil that doesn't go rancid). Now it works like a champ and is our favorite hand juicer. The other ones are too loose, and flop around when you are using them. The hinge is now just right and I like the comfy handles. Great seller, too.
