Not sure what Kapton tape is, but this is heat-tape which doesn’t leave any residue when using it on my substrates while using my heat press.

Q: How many inches is the core? I need to find a dispenser for it to fit on.

I have a 3” dispenser. It fits that, but it is not snug.

Q: What is the thickness of this tape (quantitative, not "very thin").

Tape is not very thick but it is sturdy.

Q: Exactly how thick is this tape in either mils or mm? Exact thickness is important for my application.

I can’t say exactly as I don’t own a mic, but I can say that it doesn’t feel any thicker than 1.0 mil. I’d venture to say it’s about a 0.8 mil at most.
