Superb induction hob
Fabulous! I saw James Martin using single plate induction hobs on his Saturday morning show on TV and really admired them; perfect for a cooking space I have, except that mine is a summer area under cover. I wanted something compact that I could plug in without permanent wiring and that could be semi-permanent and this two plate design is superb. With a little jiggery-pokery for setting it into a removable section of worktop I have easily got exactly what I needed. The plug in thinking is genius, it's saved me approaching an electrician to do things for us. I can see this being really useful for anyone with a small cooking space where there's no readily available wiring but there's access to a socket. It works fantastically well, as well as looking the part. I love the compact two plate nature. Controls are fantastic and it heats up much more quickly than I thought it would. One of the star ratings for this is "easy to clean" and I have to say that as it's a glass induction hob the usual cleaning rules apply! It's really good quality so I'm bowled over with this for the price.

It’s ok.
It’s not bad for the price though the back ring makes a weird noise sometimes, glass feels and looks low quality. I purchased as a make do while renovating, it replaced my Stoves induction cooker I guess that’s why it feels cheap. You get what you pay for and I don’t think it will last long but if it’s in your price bracket it’s sufficient, I think I’d save for something else to make sure it’ll last.

Good item, now I have REAL instructions as to its use
This product is total rubbishIt keeps turning off without reasonIt shows error messages that do appear in the instruction manual,And blatantly does not work,!!Having had an amazing meal with uncooked sausages! I require immediate resolutionIf that is not forthcoming I will require a replacementSince writing this review, Gionien have exchanged email. I can confirm they do respond within a few hours, as they state. My problem was to do with clarity of instructions and I thought the item was not responding as it should. They have responded and as far as I can tell the item is working correctly. I have suggested they may wish to add some clarity to their instruction manual. The hob does work well following the additional instructions provided

Best hob ever
I never had an induction hob before and heard it was the best to get. The hob is so easy to clean (you just need a wet cloth so it doesn't scratch the surface). It warms up very quickly comperated to a ceramic hob and cools down fast after switching it off.It looks so elegant and it is super easy to use. I highly recommend it.

Great little double induction hob
Bought this to install in a summer cabin and have been using it for a few weeks now. The controls are simple, a couple of seconds pressing the power icon switches it on and it doesn’t switch on accidentally when cleaning it. Boils a large pan of water fairly quickly and fries well on power setting 6 or 7. It was very easy to install given it comes with a plug already wired on it. Good value for money and fits well in the reduced size space available. The underside protrudes down about 20mm below a standard Ikea 37mm work surface once installed so make sure you have enough space there. The cooling fans run whilst it is working and are quite noticeable, taking around 5 minutes to stop after you’ve finished cooking.
