I like the simplehuman garbage cans as they keep odor out, slow closing lid is nice, and feels sturdy. It's a bit small but that is a personal choice. I own a larger one and am slowly replacing the garbage cans around the house.

I actually had a full-size can like this in my kitchen for over 20 years, but I left it behind when I moved recently. I left all my smaller wastebaskets behind, too. But wow- the prices now are insanely high, I'm wishing I'd have brought at least a couple! As of today, I've spent over $200. just on trash cans and wastebaskets for every room plus batrooms! And I price-checked in stores and online. My full-size actual chrome trash can was almost $100 back when I bought it- now it's twice that at least, if you can even find one in actual chrome. This is small, but beautiful. Just the right size for thin grocery bags (if you live in a state that hasn't outlawed them!) I had to get this for my bedroom at least. It really adds class and nostalgia, I think. As I love the 1960s so much, I wish I could afford this one in every room & every size! I'm praying it doesn't get dented like my old one did over the years. Right now, it's a thing of shiny beauty.
