BIGSHOT Wooden Axe Throwing Target with Bottle Opener

Very sturdy and well built target. I use it for both axe and knife throwing. The wood is soft enough to allow for the axes/knives to really stick in the target but also very durable for repeated use. The included chain makes the target easy to hang on almost anything (tree, fence, etc.).

I bought this axe-throwing kit as a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law, and three months later, it’s still his favorite thing to play with after work! The quality is fantastic, and it has held up great with regular use. Even the kids love it, making it a fun activity for the whole family. If you’re looking for a well-made, entertaining gift, this is definitely a winner!

I've only used it a couple times since it's the middle of winter and I got it for my fiancée for Christmas, but it holds up pretty well.

I just started axe throwing and am excited to have this target in my backyard. It is really heavy duty and comes with sturdy mounting hardware. VERY happy with this purchase.

I will begin with my only gripe; the box it ships in needs more tape. My target arrived with the box open on three sides. At least it was easy to get out....but a little more tape would help. Other than that, it's all good! The bottle opener arrived secure also. The wood was better than expected. Backing is good 12 layer plywood, three 2x10s screwed to that. Nice grain on the boards, no knots in critical areas, and the knots it does have are quite small. I am using it for knives (photo) and axes/hatchets/hawks. I hung it on a tree for a couple weeks, frame is in the works.

Love overall design. On the sides were gashes and damaged wood. In the front the 2x10's were not together leaving a gap in two locations of over 1/4in. Going the length on both sides of the bullseye. This will undoubtedly be a place for jamming on both sides. The whole construction tells the buyer that this was put together very hastily with no regard for quality construction. I love the target, just wish they had a little more attention to detail. I would add a photo but you r asking too much in that regard. Enough of my privacy has already been violated without adding this permission. Sorry

As a disclaimer I did not soak the target in water or treat it with any kind of oil, these were ideas I had to prolong the life of the target, without any soaking and just throwing axes and knives at a dry target it lasted about a month and a half. If I were to buy this again I would get a container to soak the wooden so that we would not splinter and crack as it did my first go around, it shipped quickly came in great condition and then what it was supposed to do it just seemed to get destroyed fairly quickly, and like I said this was without any soaking of the wood. If I were to buy this again I would do it differently next time

I bought this for my sweetheart for a Christmas gift, because she is the outdoorsy type and loves things like this. We built a backdrop wall to protect our neighbor's yard from overthrows, and this was one of the coolest purchases I've ever made! So I bought four more, and gave them to other people for Christmas gifts also. They all loved it! I bought everyone a very nice set of throwing hatchets and axes, and we are all having fun with competitions.An awesome buy for sure!

Go find some old pallets and make your own. It wouldn’t be that hard and you’d end up with a better product. Use the 4x4 of the pallet for the target surface and the 1x6 boards from the pallet to hold the 4x4s together at the back. You’re going to have to build a stand anyway. You might as well go find some free wood in pallet form and do the whole job.
