Had an older version that I had purchased for husband from Brookstone. Thought I would get my own, but this one is not as good. It's larger and cuts differently. Not sure if it's dull or what

Sharpest trimmers ever! Good for toes and fingernails. Seem to stay sharp forever,I have a pair just like these that are at least 8 years old and still trim like new. This pair I bought for a travel kit.

Hi...this review is as much about the product, as its about the seller- Swiss Knife Shop .On the Product first- I bought this because I "think" this was the brand I tried at Brookstone shop and was fascinated by a German Toenail clipper which could be so good. Alas, it is no where close. Its a piece of crap. It doesn't cut as good as a 4 dollar one which you get at Walmart. Don't buy it-- the edges are not sharp enough, it doesn't cut cleanly. One has to apply a lot of pressure on the wings to get the clip working ( I am a young healthy, gym going man, so power is not an issue. The design is), and when it does clip, the edges are too blunt to cut smoothly, noting close to a good german clipper.Now the Seller- Swiss Knife Shop . They are a pain to work with. They were not ready to return the product- and when i called them, they casually asked me," have I ever used it to say that it doesn't work properly". turns out it was a trick question. The moment I said "yes, I used it once or twice and sure it doesn't clip properly". their reply was, " We don't return used products." ! Wow !!...can u predict the clipper will work or not, without using it ? In any case they agreed to return it, but unfortunately I got busy in other stuff, and missed mailing it back in time. Now, they are not ready to return it, knowing very well I had contacted them in first month of the purchase and their agreeing to take it back. ( so the issue is genuine, and they know its genuine product fault, still they wont return it).

This is a good brand for all the reasons mentioned for stars. It is not flimsy like the usual ones on the market and worth the price. Recommended.
