I have only used it three times, not sure of battery life, but seems to be a great chair at a great price, except for what I consider a major flaw. The foot rest is one piece oblong, and large, works well to rest your feet on. In checking other brands, I noticed they all seem to have this type of foot rest. I have short legs, and to stand up out of the chair I have to straddle the foot rest and that unbalances me. With the foot rest folded up, it hits the underside of my knees, lifting my feet off the ground. Both things require me to have to have help getting out. I contacted the company, they promptly sent me a video, their suggestion is to lower the arm rest and slide out of the seat on the side. This will probably work, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Other than that issue, I'm satisfied completely with it, and the remote control is cool.
