Hands down the best drain cleaner I have used.
I can’t stress how much I like this product enough - it has saved my butt more than a few times! And that’s after having tried numerous other drain cleaners in multiple situations (letting them all soak over night as well). I even went as far as trying out one or two of the cleaners that should only be used in dire situations as they eat away at the pipes (I forget what’s in them that does it, but I assume it’s a strong-ish base as metal pipes are harmed?). The only thing those did in the situation I was in, a clogg started in the kitchen sink drain & went down also effecting the basement utility sink/washing machine drain, was accelerate the deterioration of an older pipe that was part of the kitchen sink drain line - ended up having to repair that afterwards because the cleaner broke through the pipe and left a dime/nickle sized hole. In all the situations I’ve been in Green Gobbler has been the thing that finally clears the line. I may have had to use 2 or 3 times the ‘regular’ amount (1 cup) in the worst cases, but after letting it do its thing overnight Green Gobbler always gets through. My mother had a clogged drain line for the central AC evaporator (my father had insisted on doing essentially everything the wrong & cheapest way possible - still fixing his ‘legacy’ many years after). The drain line had a 'T' split for a furnace humidifier (for the heated air) to drain into, but a filter wasn’t used on the water supply & the drain wasn’t sealed at all so lots of sediment would build up quickly causing a clog every week or so. After a few clogs the humidifier was unplugged and forgotten about. Fast forward some 15+ years and the exposed section of the drain had finally allowed enough fallout to collect in it that it became clogged & condensate would flow out of the furnace onto the floor. Once I realized the problem I got a funnel (it is a 1” or so pipe) and fed a cup of Green Gobbler into the drain via the exposed humidifier drain & let a bit of warm water down in - could only fit so much due to the clog, to be totally honest I couldn’t even get a whole cup down the drain at first. But after waiting over night I gave the drain a test and it was flowing once again! It wasn’t totally free, I gave it another (full this time) cup for good measure, but it got the job done! Consider the situation - a drain so clogged that the water level won’t go down at all even if you wait for a day & so tiny that you can’t get a snake down it and removing any helpful amount of blocked water isn’t possible. But sneaking a bit of GG in and we were back in business! (Good thing too since this drain goes to the main line unlike the AC drains that lead outdoors). And the above doesn’t even take into account of the money I save just getting a 5 gal bucket of this stuff. There is a serious amount of savings + having loads on hand allows me to do maintenance cleanings every few months. Regarding smell: only in one situation has cleaning the line resulted in a foul smell, but that is due to the stuff that the clog is made of. The drain cleaner breaks down the clog & if it’s made of certain types of organic materials the result can be some pretty noxious VOCs. That means that the GG is working and doing it’s job!!Just let the water run and the smell will go away pretty quickly. If this stuff ever stops being made I’m going to have to buy a pallet of it while I still can!

Buying in bulk will save money over time and this works well.
I wish I had known about this before spending a small fortune to drain issues in my lifetime. This works great to clear organic substance clogs (kitchen and bathroom drains. I bought some in like 2 oz. bottles from a FB vendor. When I researched and saw it was lye, I just bought this in bulk. I am 65, so I should have some left over to bury with me.

Saved $20K on plumbing bill!
AMAZING PRODUCT SAVING $20K in plumbing!! Picture this—1970s House—bath #1 one one side of house has no cleanout🙄. Plumbing runs from bath #1 through kitchen, into laundry room with 2nd bath, and out through master bath into back yard. Bath #1 started getting clogged years ago....almost every time someone used toilet it backed up into bath tub. Hundreds of hours on roof with industrial snake each time and multiple plumbing calls. This toilet became off-limits for years, and even without its use, it started clogging with just shower use. Also, kitchen sink was getting clogged. Over Christmas, with so much additional use, it caused a disaster. We tried everything—root killer, Dawn blue dish soap down with each flush in every bathroom, etc, for years. After Christmas, washing machine was backing up and we found water going into basement (Staircase runs behind 2nd bath and laundry room)!!! We were beside ourselves and thought we were done for. Got 25 lb Green Gobbler pail, and started with bath closest to cleanout and worked backwards to avoid a major clog. Over 4 days, we prepped each drain with hot water (including washing machine drain), then applied 1 1/2 cups (measured to be 1 lb as directed), added some boiling water to activate, and let it sit overnight for approx 12 hrs. The smell outside was horrendous with rotten eggs, but we knew it was working!!! We continued the treatments overnight and followed each with boiling water, then ran additional hot water. On 2nd day, MORE water in basement, and it was BAD. FINALLY, we heard some glugs in utility room, and no more water in basement! All drains are running with F5 tornado suction, and 1st bath toilet has no more gurgling. We are AMAZED and cannot believe this took care of tearing out walls and major plumbing bill. We will continue to use this weekly for a couple of months and then every 2 weeks, then monthly. Also, going to buy Scott’s quick dissolving toilet paper and see if that makes a difference. We finally have 3 working baths, again, and are so thankful for this product. BLOWN AWAY by its effectiveness. My advice is to give it time. Multiple treatments may be required over a period of days because you never know what’s down the line. The smell is from the crud decomposing, but that’s how you know it’s working. $59 pail worth every single penny.

Buena compra, buen producto
