Theses are really good filters for well sediment and they also help with the iron.

great price and no leakage
great price first time using this product. use to use 20 micron filters was not happy with them only been in use 2 weeks so far working great and no leaks

50 micron great for large sediment, not adequate for drinking bad well water
We dont DRINK the well water. We have horrible sediment and iron issues plus sulphur. Our whole house system consists of aereation,via a vented to outside holding tank, then sediment filtration, followed by a softener. I was using 30 micron polywound filters from TSC, bought locally. $15 Each. These 50 microns work just as well and LAST LONGER. No noticeable difference in water quality vs the 30 micron polywound. Like I said we do not drink our well water. It's strictly for showering laundry and dishes. 50 is inadequate for drinking. We didn't drink it even with 30. But I love these, they are $5 less per filter than TSC 30s and last a month longer. I change it every 2 months now, not every month. We have a crock dispenser and refillable 5 gallon jugs for drinking water. I am very happy with these filters.

Clearly worth it!
Our water had a reddish tint due to sediment. We tried this product and discovered it really works! Water cleared up after two filters which lasted approximately one month apiece. Now we only have to change the filter every 3 to 4 months! Drinking more pure water, aesthetically and literally, clearly is worth it!

Stacked two of these in the filter housing I have between my home storage tanks and the pump which draws from a Prairie lake. Was doubtful the filter could handle annual algae bloom, but it did great. Spray cleaned them and ready to be used again. Good product.
