Are these medical fever thermometers? Are they like the old glass thermometers that we use to use ? Can they be used to take someone's bodily temp?

These thermometers are intended for educational purposes. They are a great inexpensive tool for teaching.

can these be used in boiling water?

I have not tried so far...I am guessing it matters what temp they are before you put them into boiling water as the glass might shatter.

Can these thermometers be used to take a person's temperature?

No, they have metal around them. They work in a room or I use them for science experiments with my kids.

are they accurate and how tall?

just a little over 5". they are a good fit for our 'mayo' jars used as respirometer chambers.
