Amazing Layout Design Paperback – September 1, 2015

An eclectic look at modern layout thinking offered on a project and genre basis, this over-sized, durable soft cover unfortunately falls short in terms of utility. Providing up to six product shots per page—magazine double-spreads etc., most are so far zoomed out to be of little help other than as a global glimpse at their approaches taken. Particularly poorly thought out were the layout shots shown other than face up—there’s little point offering a page looking at it from the horizon. Layouts need to be measurable and investigable, fonts and grids discernable. These facilities are not provided here.
