Nite Ize NCJ-25-2R3 CamJam Tie Down Rope Tightener with Carabiner Clip, 2-pack With Cord, Black, 2 Count

This is the help others who might have a moment of confusion like I did. The "2-pack" made me think I was getting a set of two tie downs. I just returned an order saying I was missing pieces and reordered only to get just one again. I'm realizing now that the "2-pack" is referring to the clips, not having two full tie downs. That said, I bought some about two years ago (it was a six pack). They've worked great, but I've only used two "sets" for the corners of my awning on my van. I thought I had four this past weekend and was using two when I needed two more. I found one, so thought I lost the fourth and ordered what I thought was a second set and got the one packet. I suppose now I have "four" with this one added to that third I still have. But for anyone else thinking they might be getting two tie downs, it is one set with two clips, which is the "2-pack" part. But the "four" I've used with the cord with my Amsoil booth display at events have worked well.

I use these for Bow and Stern lines when I put my kayak(s) on my car, The carrier I got came with rope and showed you how to tie a knot, but if I'm putting something on the roof racks, I want to be able to verify that it isn't going any where. These are small - the clasp end is about the size of a car keyfob - but they aren't (in my case) holding down the load, they are holding it from slipping forward or backwards, with two other straps around the middle of the 'yak that are keeping it tight to the roof rack system. They are easy to use, but beware that the roller to release the grip is also very small, so in some cases you need to pull a little tighter at first and then guide the release open once the pressure is off the rope/release. These save me so much time, I bought another set for my wife's car for when she goes out to the lake without me!

The work good and are simple to use the only problem I have with them is that the cam can get twisted and the parachord slips behind it which can be annoying so just remember to pull straight.

Truly infinite uses. Here they are rigged up to dry off my 4yr olds shoes after we washed them due to a potty accident.

Found a different use! Xmas inflatables are hard to balance the tie downs! I tied a knot at each end the hooked it to to tie down point on inflatable the other tied to tent style stake. Then with each one i was able to pull them ( two at each attachment) simultaneously to balance tension. You could get rough equal tension the fine adjust. These remove easy just let off on tension!

Works as intended, plastic hinge may bend if too much tension applied.
