these work great for suctioning out fluids and collecting them into bottles. they are reliable and I've never worn one out.

Useful
No longer shall I have to wait for the entire battalion to use the one vacuum pump on AOE sample day. It's the exact same one we get issued in the motorpool.

Excellent Pump
This was recommended to me by a sailor who uses it to remove the engine oil from his inboard diesel, which is what I have too. I needed more capacity than a small sample bottle and it turns out that the threads on a four liter wine bottle match the threads on the pump. 5/16 PEX tubing fits the pump and is the size that easily fits the dipstick tube in the engine. This setup works so well, not messy and very effective. This is also good for pumping out the residual water in the bilge not removed by the bilge pump. This pump is a jewel!

Perfect for pulling samples from my Piper Arrow IV
2’ piece of 3/16 tubing will reach oil through the dipstick tube and the Blackstone sample bottle fits perfect. Perfect setup for easy and fast collection of oil samples.
