Offensive to low income countries- not at all funny in any way
The content is offensive at all levels. I was expecting a much in depth research and not discriminating ironic comments. I would understand stereotypes regional wise considering each country’s context raher than a cookie cutter set of comments from a first world country perspective. I wouldn’t recommend it if you are against discrimination of races and ethnicities. Africa is barely even represented by a one map from a US view— practically the whole region had an AID tag.

Clever and very funny
This book is hilarious. Sorry to the easily offended people (not sorry) but it is hysterical. I wonder how the author is so informed, informally, about all regions of the world, but this is funny as anything.

Good idea; needs more balanced humor
The artwork is uninteresting although format and printing is good. More ethnic stereotyping than satire or history. Donated to library.

Prejudice can be enlightening, if we don't take it too seriously.
As a writer and historian, I found this book to be immensely useful. It's a wry, humorous exploration of the myriad ways we denigrate each other.

A good laugh if you know history and some geography.
It such good natured fun I read it over and over. And like most stereotypes, there's some truth to it. I intend to give it to friends who know history and some geography as an Xmas gift.

Inspires conversations when left on the coffee table
What a great book. Inspires conversations when left on the coffee table. Wish you could order posters of some of the maps.

A global perspective
I found the articles and maps to be humorous and inciteful. Without a good knowledge of European history, some of the references may be hard to grasp.

Best value for money ever.
No bookshelf is complete without this gem. Buy several copies and give to your friends. Really.
