Not Leather; and Others Oughta Read Directions
After long difficulty with a non-Amazon office chair purchase, I bought this chair as a desperation play. The first thing I'll say is that most of the low-raters complained about how difficult it was to assemble the chair in the final screw-in-the-screws steps. I (saying this self-righteously) FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS.The assembler screws the armrests to the seat, then in two stages, screws the chair back to the rear of the armrests. There are three special inset boxes in the profusely illustrated instructions saying DO NOT TIGHTEN SCREWS with drawings of the same half-screwed screws with a CHECK mark and fully-inserted screws with an X mark. The final step shows all the screws being tightened, with a fully-inserted screw with a CHECK mark.I followed (saying this self-righteously) these instructions and to no surprises, everything except one screw worked. The design problem is that the very top rear of the armrests the width continues to be wide to the end. It serves no purpose and should have been made to taper to a narrow width. This makes the insertion hole for the last pair of screws to be very deep, so that the screw must be blindly inserted and the hex-wrench must find the screwhole hit-or-miss. The first of the two holes I was lucky and the screw found its hole and the wrench eased the arm into the upper seat screwhole. However, on the other side and final screwhole, after a few hours of use the screw fell onto the floor. With frustrating fumbling, I managed to tighten the screw properly. I hope. I might have just jammed it into the space and it may fall out again. For the extreme bargain price, it is a comfy and sturdy chair.HOWEVER, the chair description says the material is "bonded leather". DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS? The "leather" looks like illegitimate Son of Naugahyde (look it up). I looked up "bonded leather" and a furniture seller's website says it is made from a mix of chopped leftovers of real leather stirred with "faux" (fake, not fox!) materials, then pasted onto a backing (the bonding?). This explains also why my chair exudes a strong odor of chemical factory exhaust. Having a strong fan helps a lot, but I feel I must take up cigar smoking to smother the exhaust odor.Everything about the chair screams bargain basement, so don't buy this if snooty customers visit you. But for about $100 and reading the ILLUSTRATED instructions, it's OK for home office use.

You can't beat the quality for the price
We got my daughter a computer for Christmas and decided to put a desk in my office so we can share the space. I wasn't looking for the "ultimate" chair so I decided on getting her something simple. I also wanted something that could get ruined and not really care. Well, insert amazon. I saw this chair and figured for the price... can't really complain. It arrived beat with the box beat to hell so I thought for sure it was going to be a mess when I opened the box. Nope. It was nicely packaged so the main reason it wasn't damaged or missing parts. I began to assemble the chair and have to say it's been one of the easiest to date. Its nice quality and compliments my office very well.As for comfort, the cushion on the arm rest are far superior than my $$$$ Serta. I noticed it right away and was a little bummed that a top of the line chair compared to this chair was way more comfortable. My daughter says she enjoys the chair but she isn't at her desk 24/7. So comfort a longevity scale... I can't really say.

Comfortable, but poor quality control
Overall, this chair is quite comfortable. I've had it for a few days now and haven't had any complaints on comfort. However, where I have to ding a star is when it comes to assembly. One of the threaded inserts on the side of the bottom seat portion of the chair was incorrectly inserted in the factory and came to me crooked. As a result, I literally had to hammer it into the correct position to be able to assemble the chair.Another gripe, albeit a minor one, is in the instructions manual. Though there is a glossary of the numbered parts at the front of the guide that correspond with the numbers on the pack of screws and additional parts, but the guide doesn't use those numbers from then out, instead referring to them by their corresponding letter. Though it really isn't that hard to flip back to the front of the guide to see what number the part is, it is an irritating oversight.

Quality- basic level chair
If you remember that this is a $100 chair, you realize that this is a decent value for $100. It is nowhere near as comfortable as my $600 chair at work, but for my home office, I never expected it to be. It works well for the little bit I use it in my home office (never more than an hour or so). Assembly went well, without ever needing to crack open the minimalist directions. It is very intuitive to put together; it's not rocket science. All of the screws and decorative caps were in one plastic card, with a small tool. I used a hex socket and socket wrench to speed up the assembly. Very happy with this sensible purchase. The clincher....I ordered it at 7:30 in the morning, and it arrived at my house at 12:00 the same day. I am sure it will last 4-5 years like the one that this replaced.

Great for the price, works for 300+ lbs
This chair is great, I sit in it probably 8 hours a day or more 5 days a week. The only down side I had to it so far is my tailbone hurts and I had to buy a pad (5 Star United) to help with it - but I also am 320 lbs, and the chair is weighted for less, so that's a bonus that balances it out. I'm aware the chair is rated for less (weight), but its a good, stable chair. I don't 'plop' down into it, I make sure and sit down 'right' as my mom always told me I need to do when I use to plop as a kid. I do wish the chair leaned back more - and with a little more ease, but it doesn't make or break the chair. If anything it helps me stay sitting up in the right position instead of lounging back and slumping. Over all this chair is a great buy for the price. I rated it a 4 for the comfort - only because it doesn't lean as much as you want when you're trying to stretch backwards while unable to leave your desk, and the butt bone hurting. Putting it together was a like an 8.5 on a scale of 10 with easy being 10. My put it together, I heard him grumble once or twice about it, then it was done - less then 30 minutes.

Good value for money.
Relatively easy to assemble. Had the product for a week and seems a little hard, so I sit on a cushion. May soften up over time.

Garbage Product
Product was either poorly packaged or mistreated before packaging as it arrived with many scratches and dents in the arms and legs of the chair, this is due to the manufacturer, NOT the courier as the external box for shipping was fine. The backrest of the chair is not straight and slopes heavily to the right making it very uncomfortable, don't bother buying this waste of money.

Back pain
I do not recommend this product. I get severe backpain when sitting on this chair for more an hour. It does not have proper lower back lumber support leading to backpain! :(
