Works as advertised. Amazing!
Amazing! Works as advertised! Given that this is the ONLY GPS tracker on Amazon (pet or otherwise) that promises a 30-day battery life and inexpensive service via 5G IoT, I was skeptical. After using it for a week, I am blown away that it works as promised! Some observations: -It requires a 5G network. You will need to look up coverage map in your area. Customer service said the carrier for the Los Angeles area is ATT. When I was in a rural area with a 4G LTE signal but no 5G coverage, it did not work except to relay its position to my phone when within 20 feet by Bluetooth. -Battery life: After 1 week, it is reporting 75% power remaining, so the promised 30-day life is believable. -Setup: Straightforward. It took 10 minutes to install the Android app and enter the settings. 20 minutes later it had connected to the 5G network and was working. -GPS performance: When I ping the device for a location update, it takes 5-10 seconds. It has no problem getting a signal from downstairs in a two-story house with a tile roof. -Customer service: I used the live chat feature within the app and my question was answered right away. -Size and build quality: Both seem good. My 7 pound puppy doesn’t seem bothered to have it on his collar. -The first position fix of a walk can be off by half a block, but a second ping always nails it within about 20 feet. -Service plan price (6/2020): $2.99/month for three years, $3.99 for two years, $4.99 per month for a year, $6.99/month a month at a time.Minor negatives: -It labels the last position as “Currently Located”, even when it is hours or days old. It would be better if it listed the time of the fix. You don’t really know where your dog is until you have clicked to update the position, or it is periodically updated because you are moving. -The feature for finding the device via a direct Bluetooth connection from your phone only reaches 20 feet. It would be useful for finding the device if it were lost in the house or fell off somewhere, but not for finding your dog.

App won't let me renew subscription. Useless brick on dogs collar without it.
Worked OK during the the 30 day trial. A little quirky. Not super accurate, but enough to get me in the area if my dog is loose. App says my dog is in the neighbors yard sometimes when he is home, other times it's right on. Great battery. It lasts for weeks. Good price and the subscription price is good, but... Problem: I am trying to renew the subscription for 30 days through Pay Pal with the app, but when I do it says "Sorry the network is not so great" and the payment does not go through. I can't track my dog at all now. I see that others have have this issue in the "questions" section on Amazon. The thing is a useless brick without a subscription. I want to get a 30 day subscription to test it more especially to see if it gets a signal and works in a large swath of woods nearby. If I can get a subscription and get a good signal in the woods I'll keep it and get a longer subscription. Otherwise it is useless and I will have to send it back to Amazon for a refund. I sent an email to Petbiz and contacted them through Facebook (left message through messenger) and am waiting for a reply. For now I can only rate it a 1. (If I rated it before the 30 day subscription expired I would have given it a 4 ). I will update good or bad if I get a reply and if they fix the problem and if it will work in the woods. It could be a great unit if they fix some issues.

Pretty good tracker!
So far so good. At first, I was frustrated bc we took the dog in the car and couldn’t locate him from the app at home immediately but my teenage son was running the app, so that might have factored in why it didn’t seem to work that way at first...Customer service was great through email even though I had to wait almost a day between emails at times(not always). We discovered that the algorithm is written to track the dog walking away(escaping) more accurately than in a vehicle, but it did eventually tell us where he went in the car. It just took longer than I would have liked bc I wanted it as instant as my iPhone tracker works. Don’t think any of them work that well yet for dogs. We tested it out a few days later with my son walking him around the block and it definitely tracked his path pretty precisely for the most part. I wish you could make the efence radius smaller to just our yard bc it goes a few streets behind us. It does a great job letting us know he’s out of that radius though. It looks good, fits on collar nicely. Battery seems great haven’t charged it in a few days and it’s still strong. Will test it out a few more times for its accuracy, but all in all I would say it does what it’s supposed to.Following up a few weeks later: We love it! It works every time as it should. Very pleased. Worth the $. Buy it!

Massive location delay and laggy app
We've tried this locator for over a month and one thing I have noticed is it updates location, thus sends notifications very late. Sometimes we have left our house and the app will notify up to 4 hours later. When using the map to locate the tracker it is the same thing, the location shown to locate the tracker can be from 5 minutes to hours late. Haven't been able to notice any difference either with the "urgent search" setting or the "close search" setting, it continues to be delayed. If you are looking for a reliable tracker just invest a little bit more and go to the high end ones. Even the app required us to go through support to set it up as many things inside it wouldn't work.

Not helpful. Buying a different tracker.
I bought this tracker because it was marketed as battery lasting a long time. It might, but it doesnt remind me when the battery is low, so it wears out. I only find out when Im trying to look for him and it doesnt track. The interface is confusing. The instructions are difficult to understand. The app is difficult to understand. when it all seems to be working, and I check the app while walking my dog, it often shows him as still at home. This devicecis useless for me.I had a Whistle tracker before. It worked much better except poor battery life. it wore down to to point that I had to charge daily. It had a better tracking system and easier to follow.I am buying a different product now from a different company.
