What is the maximum distance allowed between the Ring Bridge and the pathlights? Do the pathlights have to be in wifi range of the house?

Happy to answer that question. Ring Smart Lighting lights run on a power efficient, long-range RF Network. The Bridge converts the RF signals to wifi to deliver information from the system to you in the form of alerts or diagnostic information. It also translates commands from you sent on wifi to the RF network to control the lights. Ring’s proprietary long-range, low frequency communication protocol enables Ring Smart Lights to communicate hundreds of feet away from each other. Not only does this protocol allow Ring Smart Lights to function far beyond normal Wi-Fi range, it also allows one Ring Smart Light to turn on other groups of lights. How much sunlight is required for a full charge and how long does that charge last?

Good question. The Ring Smart Lighting Solar Pathlight is powered by a Rechargeable 3.7V 18650 Li-ion battery (included) and is charged with the integrated 0.5W solar panel or Micro USB charging cable (included). Battery life is dependent on device settings, usage, hours of sunlight per day, and other factors. If I use motion detection, how long will it stay lit?

You can set the time in the settings.

Is there only one sensor on the one side? Can it pick up movement from all sides, or just the one?

Only one sensor on one side. Picks up motion in a 180 degree range however. I’ve found the best result is to point multiple lights in various directions. Since they’re all connected, when one senses motion, they all activate.
