How did I live without this! Pricey but worth it. Fits great without the connector. Makes vacuuming wood floor a breeze. Love my Dyson for rugs, now the whole house.

Love this device. It is much wider than the floor tool that came with the Dyson so you can cover ground more quickly. The brushes do a much better job of picking up lots of stuff on the floor. I have several areas where the flooring transitions into a different room and their is a strip to connect those two floorings. I always had a hard time with small particles hanging around the edges and the regular tool didn't do a good job of picking them up. This one does. It seems to hug the floor tighter. I can switch it between my regular Dyson canister and the Dyson rechargeable. Only complaint is that when I am finished vacuuming, I need to take the tool off and vacuum off the accumulated cat hair that has stuck to the brushes. Minor inconvenience as it obviously did a good job of picking up the hair.

Had prev. watched a video about this tool, but was not sure it would fit my Dyson V8 Animal. With the red and yellow adapter, it DOES fit. The adapter that came with this articulating floor tool does not fit the V8; it does fit the V6. Amazon does sell the red and yellow adapter. An amazing tool; gets into small areas easily. LOVE it.

Got new hardwood type flooring and should not use a "beater bar" type vacuum, so I got this one. I also have a few pets in the household, so the hair tends to clog the suction entrance into the "tube". I will order the more expensive version as I've heard it doesn't clog as well as easy removal of the pet hair.

works well for general house cleaning. For those with kids: Its not good at sucking up Cheereos o similar snacks since the brush slots are just a tad small. I some times need to lift the tool onto (instead of push into) the larger items for it to suck them in. Other than that, its a very good tool for the Dyson canister vac we have.

Excellent tool that cleans great on hardwood or tile with ease. The design of the range of motion that enables the hard floor tool to get around objects and slide into tight spaces is very well done. A more than worthy purchase to add to your Dyson.

I am in agreement with another review. I have hardwood floors and pets so I thought this accessory would smoothly glide over the floor and vacuum the pet hair that I constantly vacuum. It glides fine, but the pet hair just accumulates in the brushes and doesn't get vacuumed into the canister. I do not use mine any longer.
