Really like this spice blend. Used it to brine a turkey. Very nice aroma and seasoning for the bird. Have now purchased the larger size.

THE best corned meat I've ever had
I used this to brine a 4lb venison roast for 7 days in the fridge with a properly portioned amount of prague powder #1 and it was THE best corned meat I've ever had. It puts all the store-bought pre-packaged corned beef brisket to shame. This is my go-to from here on out.

Simply The Best!
This is by far the best pickeling spice on the market! When I make corned beef and cabbage I throw the spice packet that came with the brisket out, and use a heaping tablespoon of this Mc Cormick spice instead because it contains a much better blend of the pickeling spices that you find in the everyday grocery store mixes. To add a bit of heat to the meat, and vegetables I add a half teaspoon of crushed red pepper while cooking. When I make sauerbraten this is the only spice I will use in order to get that robust flavor in the gravy. It's a large package so what I do is keep a quarter cup of this spice in a glass jar for immediate use, and then store the rest in a seal a meal bag in order to keep the spices fresh for future use.

Very low price!
Very low price! Many uses for this spice, I use 1/2 of a tea ball in an 8 quart pot with 6 quarts of water in it. Bring this to a rolling boil. Add 1 pound of frozen de-veined shrimp. Wait till the shrimp start to float. Remove from heat and rinse with cold water till you can hold the shrimp in your hand. If the shrimp has shell on twist the shrimp to remove the shell. Place in a bowl with 2 paper towels on the bottom. Place in the refrigerator for about 2 hours and you have great tasting shrimp cocktail For he sauce it is easy peasy. Ketchup and horseradish, Get horseradish that is not mixed with a lot of oils, the less ingredients in this the better. Add ketchup to a bowl, about 1 cup and add the horseradish till the taste is as you like it. Refrigerate and enjoy!
