Great quality and fit
Classic Tommy Hilfiger quality — soft cotton, holds shape well after washing, and comfortable all day. The waistband stays in place without digging in, and the fit is consistent across all pairs. Exactly what I expected from this brand.

Great Underwear (wait for sale)
Great underwear, comfy and good fit. However, after ordering several times there is one pair with an un-sewn rear top edge (????). It is still wearable, but clearly a quality control issue. I also wait for a sale before purchasing.

Surprised, quite surprised
Yea, I know, I am wearing the underwear of our fathers. Actually, I have always worn trunks, briefs, boxer briefs. They work for me. Typically, I wear Calvin Klein trunks and briefs. They are mid-rise, cotton, and mostly they are comfortable. I was a bit concerned that these Hilfiger briefs would be too low (waist) for my tastes, comfort, and, yes, age. I want to dress stylish and appropriate for age. I get that my friends are not seeing my underclothes every day. They don't see and, trust me they do not care. Still, it matters to me. Mostly, I want comfort and I want support. I do not want things bouncing around or getting crushed. OK, all that said, what do I think about Tommy Hilfiger briefs? I was more than surprised at the level of comfort. The material really is the sales point. .mostly cotton. Still, they have imbued the material with a decent amount of stretch. They are lower on the hips than Calvin Klein classic briefs. That is OK. I was at the gym and (this is embarrassing that I even care about what others might think) and changing clothes after a shower. As I said, they do sit in the hips lower than others. It doesn't matter. The comfort of the material and the cut of the brief allows me to be active throughout the day. Any perspiration is pulled away from the skin. The front pouch is perfect for holding things where they belong without crushing, pulling, chafing. I do not use the fly. Like many guys I just pull down the front waist band when needed. Overall, a great positive surprise. They feel crazy light. The fit is excellent. I am a 32 to 33 waist (depends on my appetite:) and medium fit exactly as hoped. I will say that this is a bit of a treat purchase. And, many colors are available, one does not have to get white - dint know why, but I prefer white. Enjoy

Classic and timeless style of traditional men's briefs
These briefs are almost exactly the same style that most men wore as boys, and many men of all ages still wear. It's exactly what you expect out of underwear that looks like this with this type of fly, and this item is basically a modern take on a classic design that has survived almost unchanged for at least my entire life (older millennial here) and probably for much longer than I am aware of. There's a reason this design is timeless and unchanged: it's reliably great and always does precisely what it's supposed to which is provide all day comfort and support where you need it most. The waistband sits right where most mid rise briefs sit, which is about halfway from the top of your goods to your belly button. I find this fit to be the most comfortable rise and is perfect for everyday wear and pretty much any situation you might encounter in life. Not too low rise where you might feel like there isn't enough room for everything up front, but also not too full rise where they start creeping up over your pants/shorts and look like something our dads and grandfathers wore long ago. The legs bands hold the brief in place just as you would expect, with almost no riding up or needing to adjust. They are snug enough but not tight or restrictive, and they remain comfortably in place throughout an entire day. I haven't worked out much during the pandemic, but if I had I am fairly confident that these would work well for the gym: they are breathable and stay put during all sorts of moving around throughout the day. I have worn them under both shorts and jeans, during cooler weather and also during the hotter months and they perform equally well in all situations. Therefore, I am confident they would be perfect for work, the gym, long trips in the car or long flights, and they are comfortable enough to lounge around the house in. Please wear pants/shorts over these at home, unless you happen to live alone or with only with a significant other who doesn't care if you are rocking just your undies LOL. Nah I'm just kidding, where what you want when you want. The fabric is pretty high quality at first touch, but time will tell if it lasts through many wash cycles. It is soft and seems durable, and also breathes reasonably well and has a slight stretch to it. Keep in mind though, that this is not a performance or sport type of fabric that breathes really well, instead this item is made of a very soft cotton-like fabric that stretches and fits comfortably. I am not sure what the fabric is actually made of to be honest, but it feels like high quality cotton found in quality, premium briefs of many other brands. There is not a pouch built into the construction of these briefs, but instead the fly and the layers of fabric shift and stretch enough to provide plenty of room up front to accommodate everything. I imagine this is true regardless of your size and the space you need in the front area. I have noticed no pinching, crushing, squeezing, or uncomfortable tightness while wearing these underwear, which is one of the reasons why I am giving them a full five star review. Most guys have worn underwear like this before at some point in their lives and as long as you get the correct size, then everything fits comfortably at all times. I am not a fan of the color of traditional tightie whities, because in my opinion white is by far one of the worst colors for underwear. I don't own more than a pair or two of white briefs, and that's only because those came packaged with other colors I prefer more. That's just my opinion and many guys swear by their bright whites, so for me the color options these provided was a big plus. The colors offered are pretty great if you like a traditional colorful brief without getting too neon or crazy with the print or pattern. Crazy patterns and bright colors can be fun, but for regular everyday wear something more muted, simple, and traditional is nice too. Again that's just my preference. The colors available when I bought these were pretty decent and encompassed the vast majority of solid colors, unless for some reason they have changed things up and stopped offering these by the time you are reading this review. That has been happening far too often with many men's briefs and unless you like all of your underwear to be blues, greys, and blacks then you are out of luck with most brands. Hopefully they keep making different colors for those of us who don't like white and are tired of all the same boring colors for men's underwear. Again, that's just my preference and to each their own. They do offer these in all white and in all black and many shades of blue too so if that's what you like then you do you. Overall these underwear were a bit on the pricey side for a four pack, but they seem like they'll hold up pretty well. For anyone that has worn Tommy Hilfiger briefs in the past, (as in the late 90s, the early/mid 2000's and the early 2010's) these aren't quite as high quality of construction as they used to be, but they still seem to be decently enough made and with a good enough quality of build to be worth the price. Briefs like this are getting harder and harder to find, and these stand out as a good choice that is both a shout out to a timeless classic while maintaining modern style and fit. EDIT: After rereading my review, I realized I forgot to add any real criticism I have about these underwear. The quality control is fairly good and all of the pairs I have of this particular style and brand are pretty much identical. That being said, you might notice some very small differences in how the underwear fits on your body. Things like the leg bands shifting around ever so slightly and sometimes the size of the fabric on the sides, butt, and front area is a tiny bit different from pair to pair. It's not anything that would make me take a away a star in this review, but I have noticed that when wearing certain pairs I have to adjust them more than the other ones that came in the same pack. This only happens a couple times per day and to be totally honest, it's probably just the same adjusting that guys do with every pair of underwear they wear every day. All men are well aware of what I am talking about and we are in complete understanding with one another with being familiar with these type of adjustments. The durability seems to be pretty good after washing and wearing these many times, but the fabric is starting to show some pilling. With the average cost of these being on the steep side in my opinion, I would have expected them to last longer before showing any signs of wear. Again, this isn't too big of a deal to me and I would still buy these again in the future. I have owned some pretty high end briefs before made by companies like 2xist, Calvin Klein, etc and other similarly priced brands and this is basically what eventually happens to all of them if they are made from cotton. Some of the newer fabrics like modal and bamboo don't seem to have this issue, but you pay a lot more for those typically. None of these criticisms would prevent me from buying these again, and once I need more solid color briefs then I'll definitely check the offerings and prices and consider buying these again in the future. Colored briefs in general are getting harder to find in stores despite many men still wearing this style exclusively, and hopefully Tommy Hilfiger continues to make this style for years to come. Also, Tommy Hilfiger if you are reading this then make more colors please! Too many blues, greys, and blacks and we need a more diverse color set to choose from!
