Great product, great value
20 Apr 2024 Update: Just recently purchased/received another 12lb container of Olde Thompson Sea Salt. Still five star happy with this product! Great for seasoning food, sprinkling directly on a steak or to refill your salt grinder to add to a recipe. Also, my favorite thing about the advantage of buying in bulk is that you have plenty of sea salt to use cleaning carbon steel and cast iron pans. Hope this product stays available on Amazon.

I take it with this grain of salt.
A fantastic salt. Beautiful for adding at the finish line for a robust Mediterranean zest. A grinder is suggested. And it smokes beautifully.

It's coarse. It's salty. It's big.
- Salt from Italy, Spain, and Turkey, packaged in the US Despite the size, the container is molded for easy carry. If you can handle the weight, you should be fine. Nice wide mouth. It comes with a 1/4 cup-ish size scoop but when I'm filling mylar bags for prep, I use a 1 cup scoop and this is big enough for it. Container marked PETE 1. Sturdy enough to be reused for other stuff, too.

If you are not a commercial cook or a serious home cook this is too much salt for you. Otherwise this has been put in a pottery salt pot next to our stove. My husband is now adding salt to food properly by pinch instead of trying to overthink pouring iodized salt. His cooking skills are on the upswing! Food is definitely tastier.

Great customer service.
I have ordered twice. First time no problem, second time package came damaged (not necessarily sellers fault) but they made it right. Perfect for refilling our grinder. One of these lasted our family 2 years and I would say we use an excessive amount of salt lol.

It Works for Me
The common table salt on American dining tables is highly processed and then after stripping it completely of its natural minerals, they make a big deal about it being "iodized". This is the salt I grew up with, unprocessed; its natural minerals intact. If you prefer fine grain, you will need a salt grinder for this. I like it just the way it is. It is fairly priced.
