Controller was not charging. Removed the original micro USB circuit board & ribbon. After removal I could read the circuit board to be certain I was ordering the correct one. Removal of broken parts was super simple. Installation COULD be difficult, depending on your skill set. For me it was fairly easy but I can see it being difficult for some. A trigger popped out when reassembling (they just rest inside the frame) No problem but the tiny "tension spring" also popped out. These little springs return (spring back) the triggers. Luckily the other spring stayed in so I could figure out where and how it goes back. You need good eyes or reading glasses to see where & how it goes. Paid $9 on Feb 2021 and a new controller cost $60. BONUS, you get 2 sets so if my other controller breaks ill be ready!

So I have been opening up my ps4 controller and swapping shells to make them custom and unique. As of late, I opened it one more time to swap out the buttons to gold metal ones. However, in doing so I have messed up the charging board/ribbon to the LED light indicator. Stressed out figuring I had to buy a new controller, I researched and found this product to solve my issues. It works great, swapped the charging board and ribbon ( can't just change the ribbon bc it will not fit the OEM Charge Pins) put it back together and sure enough, the light indicator turned on and was charging again. I highly recommend this product for PS4 controller models JDS-055 (ps4 controller cuh-zct2u which is the model I have. Make sure the ribbon is facing the right way or it will not work i

The charge port works fine and it's very easy to install (just make sure to watch a YouTube video so that you can know what to do), but it was missing a pretty important component. The component I'm talking about is a small white chip that's soldered onto the board. That powers the LED light on the controller. Without it, the LED WON'T turn on. You can't even tell if the controller is on or charging unless it's connected to the PS4. On the picture, you can see exactly what I mean. The one on the left is the old charge port with the chip and the other one is the one I bought that doesn't have said chip. I had to buy one from a different company after making sure that it has the chip. Make sure that if you're going to buy a charge port for your controller that it comes with all the bells and whistles.

If you need to fix a broken charging port on a PS4 controller, look no further. Just make sure you get the correct replacement for your particular controller. For the money, it's worth buying a bunch of these and used controllers that people may be dumping for cheap because they can't charge them. Their loss will be your gain in about 10 minutes.

So i bought this to replace a worn out charger port on my controller. Great price, looked like it should. Installed it, and had the controller put back together enough to test it so the controller was still open. I plugged it in and no light then secs later it was smoking. the ribbon cable caught on fire. so I thought maybe its just the cable, ill try the old cable. still didn't work, wouldn't charge or turn on the controller. I had to reinstall the old board till I order a different one from another seller. I don't recommend this one at all.

This product worked so well. The hardest part was actually opening the controller itself. From there it was quite easy to remove the old port and replace it. The ribbon cable and charging port were in perfect condition. Even if you have no experience with tech parts, you could easily install this replacement.

It works, but only got 1 of 2 charging ports... Won't return because I don't have the time to wait for another one (Fixed a cousin's controller and he wants to play ASAP). I am guessing this is a returned scam item since there was 2 ribbon cable but only 1 port. Since Amazon is responsible for the stocking and sale, they are probably the guilty party that did not check the returned item and just restocked it.

I purchased these for our Playstation controllers and they do not fit. Everything is backwards.
