Quality built. Powerful. Truly silent. No sound on oscillation. And the oscillation truly goals up and around. This fan arrived in a disassembled state and it is easy to assemble, just tighten the base, middle rod and fan head together. The base is heavy and stable, the probability of tipping over is extremely low. It is powered by adapter, and the cable is enough long for me. There is a scented cotton pad on the back of the front grille, you can drip a few drops of essential oils, which is an unexpected surprise for me. The maximum here of the fan is 0.9m , if you want it to be shorter, you can remove the middle rod to achieve a height of 60cm. In addition, the fan head can move up and down from 30 degrees to 90 degrees. It has 3 modes and wind speed options ranging from 1-8 levels, it’s quite quiet and you can hear a little noise until level 6 , but it won’t affect your work or sleep. In addition to the above, you can also set the timer. These settings, in addition to being controlled on the touch panel, can also remotely controlled on the remote control ( including button battery) . In my personal opinion, whether it's from the style or function of the fan, it's worth trying.

This is without doubt the best fan that I have ever owned, it's not the big old standard ugly fan sitting in the room looking very out of place but a much sleeker design and it's very powerful on high and not that noisy but drop the power down and it's so quiet that you can't hear it at all. Very solidly built with a nice size base and to put together is very simple, one pole and the base and your up and running, you can even remove one of the poles if you want the fan shorter. Very good and clear with touch buttons and this also comes with a remote so no need to to get up and change the settings And now for what sets this fan apart from all the others as it's actually an air circulation fan which basically not only does it oscillate from side to side but can also oscillate up and down ( I've included a video of this in action ) perfect for that stuffy room. You can run it in one direction or from side to side or you can run it up and down all independently or all together. It's superb at circulating all the air around the room from top to bottom. Also has a timer function and everything is very easy to control via the remote. It's perfect for a warm bedroom at night as it's ultra quiet. Highly recommended 5 Stars

If you are reading this review you are considering if such a lot of money on "simply a fan" is worth it. Maybe like myself you are struggling to sleep in the heat (may be something to do with my age!) and as a spider sneezing can wake me up, I need something that is silent, not just quiet but actually silent! Like you, I read all the reviews and even the slightly negative ones before eventually hitting "buy". So, let's give an honest review. Firstly arrived very quickly, took out of the box and it looks very 'cool' (pardon the pun) clearly made well and doesn't look anything like the B&Q ones I have bought at a fraction of the cost!. It is sturdy, impressive and solid. It has an impressive number of speeds, do you need them all ? actually I am not sure you do - but all the same they are there. It oscillates sideways and up and down, I am not sure the oscillation up to face the ceiling is totally necessary, but can be quite mesmerising to watch it go through the cycle! The range on the side oscillation is perfect. It has a "mode" for sleep - now in honesty I cannot quite work this out.... When activated it doesn't seem to make any difference whatsoever to its power, its speed or indeed its noise level; I have posted this as a 'question' so it will be interesting to read the response. Noise, well actually, what noise! Yes if you are running at this at top speed then you evidently want to test out being in a wind tunnel and it is fairly noisy. But levels one and two are virtually, yes virtually, silent. Furthermore on these two speeds you are not wafted with a strong "breeze" meaning you will sleep without developing any cold spots! I set this on level one on the timer for two hours, and I woke up hot three hours later ! seemingly that 7 hours timer might be just the ideal setting! I seriously am a person whom has to have silence to sleep, and whilst it obviously cannot be "silent", it sure doesn't interfere with the ability to get to sleep. My previous fan, albeit a cheap one, meant I lay there contemplating getting out of bed to turn it off as it was irritatingly noisy, this one has a remote, perfect! I don't just recommend, I highly recommend. So as the heat start to rise, and like me you really cannot afford to have aircon installed - this is a perfect answer.

As usual the reviews on Amazon are not all that useful. So here's some comparisons... This fan is more powerful than the many tower fans i've owned. I currently have a Honeywell HYF260E tower and this Berssen is far far more powerful than that. It also isn't much louder than most tower fans when on the highest setting even though considerably more air is being pushed out, and it's very quiet on lower settings. So if you want something (relatively) quiet that's easily more powerful than most tower fans, this is the one to get. However, if you don't care about noise and simply want an extremely powerful fan, then this might not be enough. For example, this fan is only 30 watt, and i recently returned a 120 watt Pro Breeze 20" floor fan. That was way more powerful, and cost less, but was also stupidly loud so it got sent back. So if you don't care about noise and just want something extremely effective for the absolute hottest summer days, i'd recommend a large 100+ watt floor fan over this one. There's load of them on here typically ranging from £40 - £90. They would also be great for pets, and because of their sheer size and power they also circulate air around the house/large rooms very well. The downside is they completely lack the features and looks of this Berssen fan. They're also not suitable (for most people) when sleeping because of the noise. Noise levels on this fan are very good though. On lower speeds it's extremely quiet and i can't imagine it bothering anyone. On medium speed settings it's still completely fine for sleeping. On the 2 highest settings i can sleep with it on, but it is getting a little loud at that point, so it may be an issue for some. As for the included remote, it's OK-ish but should be better at this price. It's infrared so you have to point it directly at the fan with a clear line of sight. You can't just press a button and expect it to work. The controls on the fan itself are touch sensitive, but unlike many gimmicky touch controls these actually work pretty well. No issues here. Just hope they last. I've given this 4 stars because my main issue is that i'd like a little more power, and it also says this fan has "6.9m/s Powerful Wind". That's got to be false. If you don't know what that means, then all you need to know is that it's more wind velocity than the 120w floor fan i just mentioned, but in reality this is nowhere near as powerful as that. I'd like this fan to be around 50 watt and/or have larger blades, because then it could shift even more air. It may then be louder, but give people the option for those rare but particularly hot summer days in the 32c+ range. Don't get the wrong idea though, this Berssen isn't weak at all and it's far more powerful and effective than literally every single tower fan i've used. UPDATE: It was recently 36c and today it's 35c... And this fan is performing excellent. The heat really gets to me, probably more than most people, but i'm completely cool. It's the only fan that i've owned to achieve this at these temperatures, and because of this i've raised my score to 5 stars.

Ive bought many fans over the years and thrown many away. This one breaks the mold. First off, the fan feels well built and has the potential to last for many years. It is a break from the normal style of a huge fan on a stick that hums and buzzes away whilst taking up a large space. Instead it is compact and stylish and would look good in the most modern of homes. Fans however are not purchased for their ornamental value. They are purchased to provide cooling and refreshing airflow and this fan doesn't disappoint. It is very powerful and is capable of projecting a column of air across a large room. Because this fan is DC powered it manages to do this with relative quietness. No more humming and buzzing and anything from almost total silence at the lowest speed to a gentle whoosh at the higher speeds. If you are looking for a fan for your bedroom, look no further. This one is totally silent at the two lowest speeds and provides more than enough air movement for a large bedroom. On top of this the fan can be set via a number of presets to gently turn itself off in the middle of the night so that you don't wake up feeling chilled once your metabolism has slowed during sleep. Expensive?, what price peace and a good nights sleep? I'm already considering one or two more for other rooms.

I bought one of these a year ago for my lounge. I was so impressed that I just purchased this second one for the bedroom whilst on offer! Over many years I have purchased lots of fans, most being the tower style and bladeless. I cannot tell you how fed up I was with every single one. They all developed a clattering sound after a while that eventually was far too loud to accept. I thought I would try this one as the reviews were good. I've been using my first one for a year and it is completely silent in use on most settings, and there are a lot! The one thing that is great, apart from that, is the fact you can just tap and hold a button on the remote or base to put all lights off. I used it in the bedroom last night and I set it up to give a cool breeze from my toes to my head as it swayed from side to side in silence! The height on its stand was perfect to cool me throughout the night. It was bliss!! I had a much better night's sleep and when I woke I had to check it was still on as I couldn't hear a peep! I've never seen a fan with so many modes and settings to suit everyone. I'm so delighted with it and would highly recommend it.
