Functions well
My son had me order this for him to use on a new computer for gaming. He says it works great!

If your mic output is too quiet, go into PC sound settings to boost it!
As others have mentioned, the mic output with this cable will be slightly lower than ideal.. this is due to the extra cable length having a greater resistance and causing a voltage drop of the already weak mic signal. Most PCs will have a dedicated sound application (called something like 'Realtek Audio' for example). In here you can boost the mic output by 10, 20 or 30dB. This solved my issue, and I recommend if you need the extra cable length this adapter provides.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It works the build quality seems ok. As far as durability goes the cord could be a bit thicker. The cable is pretty thin but it functions well and easy to use, its straight forward with the headphone and mic jacks being labeled with idiot proof pictures. Would I buy again definitely.

Works as it should, feels like a nice material, and doubles as extension
Mic quality and sound quality are exactly the same and now I can use my headset on PC properly. If you have a headset with built in mic but no pc with a headphone jack this is the product for you.

Great and easy to use
Had one of those sets of headphones that is single plug, this works perfectly to give audio and mic ports

Great while it lasts
Ordered this in October, and the cords that connect to the inside were both stripped out when it briefly caught on the desk. We were hoping the solid metal was going to save it from any accidents, as I have ran my chair over one as it got caught under my desk, and that part is fine and solid. The sound quality was great before that happened and got compliments on the quality of our voice in voice calls, otherwise.
