EDIBLE CHARCOAL BLACK PETAL DUST, (4 grams each container) By Oh! Sweet Art Corp

This is one of the best powder dyes that I have use for baking. It’s a little container, but a little goes a very long way you can use it lightly for a light gray or use it dark for the black and it works amazing will be ordering this again if needed. It is a matte black it does not have any shine to it, which is exactly what I needed when I made the dog for my husband’s 60th birthday cake.

Amazing dye! I suffered so much with liquid ones, which constantly spoiled the texture of the dough or cream. And this dye is a super find!! I love it! Good intensity and does not spoil the taste. I highly recommend it!

This is a very tiny amount..I compared it next to a quarter. It's extremely and I mean extremely FINE. I wore gloves while working with it - use caution because it is definitely a dust. I only needed a small amount because I was making candy cigarettes but cakes n such will probably require larger amounts. Happy baking! 😄

This worked out great. I needed to darken some chocolate pieces and the cake itself and not much was needed at all.

Adding a little dark to your designs makes the other colors pop. Perfect.

I purchased this to add to my frosting and to sprinkle on top of my mirror glazed cake. First the amount is very small and I returned my black gel frosting for this and regretted it. I needed it for both dusting/ sprinkling and to add color to make one batch of deep black frosting. I only wanted to use it on this one 8inch two layer cake and it didn't stretch to the occasion. I saw someone said it worked good for royal icing so maybe that is more effective. The product was high quality and it didn't have a plastic taste like most black edible cake decorations or colors. I just wish the amount was more and worked for my purpose and it just didn't.

This is the best black petal dust I've found and I hope they never change it! I mix it with vodka to paint my cakes and fondant. It doesn't bleed at any consistancy I've used. There are some other brands that bleed and leak no matter what and are awful. This brand is great for fine line work like outlines and letters and also great for covering large spaces.
