Absolutely stunning artwork and writing, beautiful book, with a quietness full of feeling
Lyrical writing lovely to read aloud, following the cutest puppy ever. Perfect for bedtime, perfect for little ones to fall in love with little Perdu. Set in a world that every child can relate to, physically and emotionally. This book is completely charming, beautifully produced - the cover is soft and creamy with lovely matt internal pages. The illustrations are gorgeous, full of pattern and texture that young children will adore, and full of hidden, secret details to find amongst the pages for older children. Wonderful book.

A 'lost' dog looks for a forever home
Very sweet, and a little bit sad. Perdu (translated from French: lost) travels from the countryside to the city, with only his red scarf. We do not see where he has come from, we make our own assumptions there. He is looking for a home. And he doesn't notice the girl in the red hat as he trudges through the greyness of the concrete jungle. But she's there (as my 4 year old delightedly pointed out). Will he find somewhere to call his own? The smile on my son's face at the end would have melted Scrooge's heart as the story comes to its lovely little conclusion. This is satisfying, a nice choice for schools and homes, as you might talk about homelessness, kindness and family. The illustrations fill almost all of every page and make the little dog distinct in a drab world even when very small, through his scarf. For ages 3-6.

Delightful & heartening
A gorgeously warm, touching and optimistic tale of the search for home and belonging. A beautiful fable told with word and image that gladden the heart.

Amazing, heartfelt book, beautifully illustrated
What a beautiful book! Beautifully written and illustrated. Resonated hugely with my adopted daughter and her own situation of finding a safe home. Perdu also looks like one of our own little rescue dogs so we have a soft spot for him and his story and read it often.

This is a sweet little book about...a lost dog, of course. It is very simple and also leaves lots of questions for the child to ask. Why was the dog lost? Where did he get his red kerchief? It's up to the reader and the child to imagine.
