Best universal pen
Mh husband has bought hundreds of these. He buys them every year for work Christmas gifts. I have a few myself and use them all the time. It writes really well, and I love that. It has a pencil and eraser as well as four colored pens.

Great multi-pen!
This is my second one. My last one lasted 8 years and I just got tired of the color so they are very durable. No cracking in any way. I've never noticed smearing of the ink. It's a great writer with a fine line size. It is a little thick but it fits my grip style very well.

Amazing pen that has increased my workflow!!
I bring a Moleskine notebook with me everywhere I go to take notes, jot down ideas or to make designs and sketches. The biggest problem I was running into was that often times when I was doodling or wanted to write things that could be erased, I would have to search franticly for a pencil since most of the time I was using a pen. I started looking for an option that had both a pen and a pencil that could be swapped out instantaneously. When I found this pen I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did it have the pencil function i needed, but it also had a black, green, and blue pen to go along with it! I didn't imagine this pen could actually hold up or function well though with my past experience with multifunctional pens. I gave it a shot though and I can safely say this was the best purchase I have made in a long time! It is so convenient and I feel like I've been a lot more productive in my note taking since I get to use multiple colors to highlight different notes which makes it stand out more. Overall really highly recommend this pen to anyone who may ever need a pen and pencil at the same time!

Best writing instrument ever!
The Zebra Clip-on Multi ballpoint pen includes 4 colors: Black, Red, Green, Blue, plus a .5 mm pencil. The wide body and rubber grip make it very comfortable to hold. All of that is great but what really makes this pen special is the ease of writing with it. The inks flow smoothly and evenly without skips or blobs. You can even get refills! It’s the best writing instrument I’ve ever used, and that includes some $40+ Faber and Diplomat pens. I’ve been using them for over 10 years, and I always keep a spare handy in case I’ve misplaced the current one. (It happens.) The biggest drawback is the eraser inside the little cap on top: as it wears down, there’s no way to keep pushing it up. That’s a very minor problem for me, since I keep an inexpensive retracting eraser nearby. Another minor thing as that there’s no storage for spare pencil leads. You have to feed in a new lead when the current one isn’t long enough to write with, but that’s also a very minor issue for me. It’s just a joy to write with!

Great pen, good ink
I love this pen. I use it all the time. The colors are vibrant, the feel is nice, the action is reliable and not overly loud. ( I hate noises, I'm picky that way ) Despite being an all plastic construction, nothing feels cheap. I bought a bunch as gifts, nobody has had any problems of significance. I'd give it 5 stars, but that there is some tendency for the ink to glob up on one of my colors. It just means that every day or so I need to swipe it off on some scratch paper so that I don't get a random ink glob on an official document. It retracts cleanly enough, leaving a visible track on the inside of the pen that it has been globby in the past. But there's no danger of it getting on my clothes, just on my documents. They sell refills of the ink cartridges. I should probably get one and assume that I just have a bad one in my pen. But the ink is part of the pen, so it's part of my review. For the price, just buy 2. :-) Also, the eraser is laughably small. Good for emergencies, not much more.

BEST PEN EVER!!!!
So I bought the 4-Colored .77mm Fine point BIC pen and the Zebra B4SA1. I bought both because I read on Amazon (based on customer comments) that both pens worked wonderfully. As a science major and long-time old school note taker (non-typist), professors put so much info in their lectures that when I only use one color my eyes can miss crucial info, especially when professors zoom through the lectures so fast that my notes look so messy! I highly recommend this pen because compared to the BIC the Zebra has EVERYTHING you need when you need/want to take organized notes. B0006SVBNQ <-- BIC Zebra VS BIC [COLORS] Zebra: black, red, blue, green, and whaaaaat?! gray (jk, pencil lead, lol) BIC: black, red blue, and green [GRIP COMFORT] Zebra: When I first looked at the picture, I thought I would have a difficult time writing with the pen width being fatter than the BIC (since it also comes with a mechanical pencil). NOT AT ALL! This pen is plastic made but the gripping area has a gray cushion that helps writing feel super comfortable for your wrist. I have sweaty palms so the cushion totally sold me! The type of ball-point tip is so smooth that you don't have to grip so hard unto the pen when writing. BIC: The BIC has no cushion on the grip and the whole pen is plastic orange. It's nice but with sweaty palms my hand slips when I write, so I have to grip harder. =( [COLOR TRANSITIONING] Zebra: two word.... ZEBRA FAST! You can use your index finger to transition to a different color so smoothly. BIC: Gotta use your thumb..so takes a bit more time transitioning between colors. *They are both ball point pens. ----------------------------------------------- Overall in my opinion zebra is my ideal pen for note taking. Yeah, I sound crazy being meticulous about these pens but hey this product made me a happy college student. ^___^

I never thought I'd say the sentence, "I love this pen"
I was hesitant to drop the money for this pen when there are other multi color pens available at much lower prices. I give it a shot because reviews were decent and I particularly liked that replacement nibs can be purchased, which is a feature I was seeking. I have been 100% pleased with this pen. I have been using it every day for my waitress job (I like to write appetizers in red and the rest of the order in green) and have yet to have any of the nips run out. Other pens I'd previously purchased ran out in weeks. I haven't really used the pencil but it seems like it works. I like that the clip has a spring so that I won't break the clip off one day when clipping it back on my apron. I make sure to always retract whichever color I was using before putting it in my apron to make sure nothing jams. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews aside from possible quality control. If you get a bad one, I recommend requesting a replacement instead of just returning.
