I got this for making custom bookmarks for holiday gifts. It worked great. It’s lightweight but very sharp and precise. I was only cutting card stock, so I can’t comment on what it would be like to cut several pieces of paper at the same time. Pros: lightweight, precise, sharp, walking mechanism to keep it closed when not in use Cons: probably not cut out for heavy duty projects

Great quality great value!!! This is the 2nd Swingline cutter I’ve bought the 1st one lasted 10 years I love this one cuts sharp edges & very easy to use I bought another cutter costing twice as much & it was not a precise blade. Returned it

The cutter works well and seems sharp as there is no bending as sometimes happens with a dull blade; it is very lightweight. As others have mention, it does have a hump on the measuring tape in the center, but it seems to have gone away after a week of use. We are also based in the Midwest so the cold weather during shipping could have caused this defect. It also came in a pack of 4 but I do not think that was intentional...

Fantastic paper cutter! This paper cutter equals the heavy duty cutters that are found in schools, perfect for small business or home use. The blade cuts several pages or 1 page without a problem. The measuring guides are great, just line the expensive, heavy duty cutters. I bought a cheaper one from China on Amazon and it was terrible, didn't cut even 1 page without chewing it up. I immediately returned the cheap one and bought a brand I could count on. Don't waste your time, buy this one from Swingline, you won't be disappointed.

That said, the blade itself is strong and very sharp—it cuts smoothly and effortlessly. Cons: The biggest issue is that there is no guard or clamp to hold the paper in place. When cutting, the paper or photo bends instead of staying flat, which leads to curved and imprecise cuts. I found that if I laid a small ruler over the paper near the cutting edge, the paper stayed flat and the cuts were great. However, I don’t have any interest in improvising or using workarounds for a tool that should work as intended, especially for scrapbooking where precision matters.
