Watched this movie for the first time and I’m glad I had the 4K for it, another solid 4k release from Kino Lorber! Nice clean image with a good amount of film grain, really good hdr colors, some parts may be a bit darker than the standard Blu-ray but it’s no dealbreaker. 100 percent recommend if you haven’t picked this up yet.

Awesome movie. This is a great movie.I love the action in it.And I love these 2 actors.They do a great job of playing each other.I love the twist and turns of it. This was a new movie. No problems or issues.

The movie is primarily comparing Archer the police officer to God/Christ and his wife's name is Eve and Archer is fighting against Nicholas Cage's character Castor Troy who is purposely like Satan which means he is sacriligious, blasphemous and a complete nut and Archer and Castor hate each other with a passion the same way as God/Christ and the devil hate each other with a Passion (hence Passion of Christ) that is catapulted by Castor shooting and killing Archer's son. Satan had Christ (God's son) killed on the cross. Castor infiltrates Archer's house (the church) and pretends to be Archer b/c he looks like him and somewhat sounds like him (Satan has entered the Church with blasphemies and false doctrines but people believe it to be true because it sounds or appears to be like God and look like God) the film focuses on him telling his daughter to listen to his voice and not look at his face or how things appear to be to the eyes. Same thing is quoted in the Bible by not going by everything you see and feel but to listen to God's voice or word to know it's him and not be deceived. Archer becomes closer to those who are evil and learns to humanize them and be there for them and forgive them the same as Christ appear to hang out with the unseemly type in society. Archer gets rid of this fake him as Christ will one day get rid of the fake Christianity that has been infiltrated and then the real face of Christianity or Messianism will appear or Revelation and the amnesia we have of not remembering who we are from Heaven will cause us to become aware. Those who are of the family (Eve represents- who know Christ) will welcome those who didn't know Christ but was once children of the evil ( just means one who practices evil on purpose and loves it) one (Satan- stands for Castor Troy) and will become adopted and loved as family and a new Heaven and Earth will reign and the scars of the past of the messiah and mankind will be remembered no more.The movie was very spiritual and I'm quite sure that whoever originally wrote it grew up in a very religious household but might have wandered off from God but explained it the best way they knew how at the time. And to be quite honestly frank the devil is blasphemous, sacriligious and when push comes to shove it is a brutal battle between Good and Evil.

We loved this movie

After years of only watching this film on an old DVD (one that you had to turn the disc over halfway through), this 4K is a huge improvement in both sound and image. The sound sounds as if you are standing right next to it live, the bullets almost literally fly around your ears and the image is razor sharp.If you are a fan of this film, then this 4K is highly recommended.

One of the best action movies of all time gets the love and attention it deserves in this 4k restoration. Picture quality consistently great throughout, I just saw so many new details in the film. The soundtrack is amazing. Whilst it's only 5.1 it puts nearly all modern atmos action movies tracks to shame. It's astounding. I am UK based so had to order from the US. Lucky for us this is possible as for some reason 4k availability in the UK is extremely limited. Package arrived when it said it would and all was fine. Definitely worth paying a bit more to see this marvel of cinema get a 4k release. Would be great if the same company did more John Woo films. I shall be researching more what other films they have released. Clearly a highly professional restoration company who take their work seriously.
