This company deserves high marks for making a very pleasant tooth gel with no fluoride. It seems to be the best on the market, so I am adding a star to my review. Since it's a gel instead of a toothpaste, you don't get that thick pasty effect. It does --not-- leave a coating on your teeth, which is why some people say their teeth don't feel clean. But that "fresh feeling" coating is actually unhealthy and prevents your teeth from constantly remineralizing. The product seems slightly watery or quick melting -- but I have used a gel (like Aim) before and knew what to expect. DO make sure that you quickly apply this to both sides of your mouth before you really begin brushing your teeth. I have used Silversol for more than a year now. Over time, I have decided that it actually is killing germs, despite the mild taste. I brush the entire inside of my mouth, not just my teeth. And it does kill that terrible morning Dragon Breath -- so I am sure now that it is working. Ingredients on the tube show: SilverSol Solution (deionized water and purified silver), xylitol, carbomer, TEA, natural coloring and peppermint oil. (No aloe vera, as someone else suggested) Positive ----------- fluoride free (YAY!) no stevia, which I hate no parabens no sodium laurel sulfate no artificial colors non-abrasive SilverSol solution contains xylitol (which doesn't harm teeth) mild glacial mint (peppermint oil) flavoring bpa-free tube Negative ------------ carbomer TEA (triethanolamine) natural coloring (ie from an undefined source, but it is actually clear) relatively expensive Size is 4 fl. oz. for around $10, and you have to use a little more than you'd expect, so the cost seems rather high. But there are so few fluoride free alternatives in the marketplace that I decided it was either this product, Activz silver dental gel (with the same ingredients and even higher price!), or homemade toothpaste (see my recipe below in the comments). If you don't wish to concoct your own high priced toothpaste using coconut oil and other ingredients, this appears to be the best choice for now!

Oops…
I thought I ordered the actual toothpaste vs the gel, but it must’ve reverted to the gel selection when added from my list rather than directly from the product page. That is totally my fault, I should’ve verified before I completed the order. That said, the product is great and I am ordering the toothpaste version now. While I can absolutely feel the benefits to my gums immediately after using it, I just can’t tolerate the “gell-y” feel and taste of it. It’s not bad, actually somewhat tasteless I think; I just have an aversion to the texture I guess which makes me “think” I can taste it? Maybe LOL? The packaging was also pristine, which I find very important for health and personal care items.

Non-abrasive cleaning with the benefits of silver
I tried this toothpaste when I suspected that my usual toothpaste was leaving a deposit at the base of my teeth. (My dentist recommended a waterpik.) But, I expected to lose the cleaning benefits of my previous, grittier toothpaste. I didn't need to worry. This toothpaste cleans very well, and - at a recent visit - my dental hygienist seemed impressed that my gums were in such good condition. Better than usual. I'm enthusiastic about colloidal silver, and I'm pretty sure that's why this toothpaste has been so good for my gums and any mouth irritations. The taste is fine. It's somewhat minty, but not as intense as something like, say, Crest. In fact, the taste is rather bland, so it doesn't give you that "mouthwash fresh" taste, if that's important to you. The only criticism I have is that any toothpaste residue left deep in the bristles of my toothbrush... it turns a greyish-lilac color. It's not attractive, but using a toothpick - or a tiny, between-the-teeth brush - can get most of that toothpaste residue out. It's just a cosmetic issue, but when I look at my toothbrush, I like to see pristine white bristles. But that's probably me being finicky. I'm alternating this toothpaste with others I like, but I think this toothpaste is very good, and the only one I've found that seems to deliver the full benefits of silver.

safe for your gums
When I went for my dental cleaning, my doctor asked me what I was doing to my gums. He said it looked like I chewed tobacco. I told him I chewed gum and I would put it between my gum and cheek when I wasn't chewing it. I had gum in my mouth all day and mostly between my gum and cheek. He told me to quit chewing it. I really couldn't believe gum would do that, but eventually the pain in my mouth made me quit the gum and I started using PUR gum that uses xylitol -- not sorbitol. The point that I'm getting at is the sorbitol in the gum was what was causing my gums to recede and giving me a white film in my mouth. And my mouth was often sore. Many toothpastes have sorbitol in them, too. I finally found this tooth gel and have been using it for well over a year. It's expensive, but so were the other ones I tried that were a paste. My gums no longer hurt and the white film and soreness are gone. Also, my son, who has never had a cavity in his life (I taught him to brush and floss), was getting pain around his gum line. We checked his toothpaste and guess what -- sorbitol. He immediately started using this tooth gel.

Super clean feeling! Like you just left the dentist!
I love Silver Biotics products! This tooth gel does not disappoint. Your teeth, gums and tongue will thank you! Your teeth will feel like you just left the dentist. I use this tooth gel once a day in the evening as it tends to be pricier than regular toothpaste but well worth it! In case my dentist reads this... Yes I brush my teeth in the morning as well! I just use my other toothpaste. :)

Exposed nerve
I have an exposed nerve from a chip in my molar. This calms the inflammation within seconds and makes my teeth feel clean just like I came from the dentist. Great taste mild mint flavor doesn't stop bad breath right away but does heal your tongue over time to get rid of the germs on the tongue causing any bad breath I think it took close to two weeks of use for my tongue to look amazing and healthy . I recommend this to everyone to supplement with their other favorite tooth paste

Updated - Dangerous Ingredients?
Updated Feb: 15, 2015 I was initially disappointed when I first received this product and noticed that it contained carbomer and TEA as noted in my initial review below. After some consideration and further research I realized that I'd been brushing with those same ingredients in standard commercial tooth paste all my life so I decided to try this. I actually like the way it makes my teeth feel clean, and even though it's not a perfect alternative, I believe it's a pretty good alternative for the reasons I listed in my original review. I've ordered my second tube, and am using it regularly. I've increased my rating from my original one star to a three star since I do like using it but haven't used it long enough to determine it's effectiveness. Original Review: Jan 9, 2015 I was excited to try this tooth gel with Xylitol and no abrasive ingredients nor glycerin that is suspected of coating teeth and inhibiting re-mineralization. My excitement faded when I received my order and began researching the items listed as ingredients. The gel contains carbomer, a by product of gasoline production that is used to give products a smooth consistency and which is highly acidic, and anyone who's researched the effect of acid from sugars and carbohydrates on teeth knows that it's the main cause of enamel erosion and tooth decay, in fact the reason I wanted a tooth product with Xylitol is for the neutralizing effect it has on the acids produced by sugars. So to neutralize the effect of carbomer, TEA (triethanolamine) is added which is suspected of causing immunotoxicity, respiratory toxicity and asthma. So unfortunately I can't comment on the efficacy of this product because I'm afraid to put it in my mouth, and I'm very disappointed that what at first looked like a healthy alternative to conventional tooth paste turned out to be anything but.

Good toothpaste
I am very picky with my toothpaste. This one taste good, and I just saw my dental hygienist and she said everything in my mouth was looking good. Can't say its the toothpaste, but I would recommend it. Silver is good for bacteria. And our mouths are full of it.
