CUBY UV Sun Umbrella Compact Folding Travel Umbrella Auto Open and Close for Windproof, Rainproof & 99.9% UV Protection Parasol with Black Anti-UV Coating

I mostly needed an umbrella for the rain but I thought it a good idea to buy one which could be used as a parasol. I have just come back from a very hot holiday and this umbrella was my saviour. It really kept the UV rays off me and was my very own piece of shade everywhere I went. Haven’t used it in the rain yet but I have every faith in it. It’s a really nice quality, not particularly lightweight and you do need a bit of ‘force’ to collapse it back down but I think this all demonstrates its sturdiness. I’m sure if I can manage that as a weak seventy something then anyone can! It does have a curious fishy smell on arrival but that has faded now. You can buy umbrellas for a couple of quid but I’d recommend this one for a few quid more.

I just got this and only tested it for a short time, but I felt noticeably cooler sitting in the sun using this umbrella. It was the first time in my life that I bought this type of umbrella and I had no idea it would work. I couldn't believe it, but it's true, it works. :) I also compared it with a regular and a different lightweight umbrella. Normal and light umbrellas filter the sun, block the sun but not the heat. The sun continues to warm you. However, this is definitely cooler than a regular umbrella. Because it keeps the sun's rays and prevents the heat from passing through. Perfect design, umbrella quality, umbrella opening feeling, being resistant to the sun, working great in the rain, strong and sturdy irons. Good thing I bought it.

Nice and sturdy Umbrella. The same pattern as the images shown. One problem is that it’s a bit difficult to close the umbrella, you need to push quite hard to shut it. Has a button to open it automatically which is nice. It’s heavier than other umbrellas, which is nice as it holds a bit more when it’s windy, but obviously it does go a bit crazy in strong winds. Has a nice cover. I recommend it :)

Umbrella is nice a little heavy but it's almost like it's double layered so understandable. It does smell a bit but i think once it's been used s few times the smell will go. Most likely the smell is from the coating on the out side. I gave 1 star as the umbrella does not stay open. I tried opening and shutting several times. Sometimes it opens and stay locked in position other times it starts to flop like it's closing. Will be returning. An update on the item. Seller was really quick to contact me and offered a refund. As i liked the umbrella i asked for a replacement. The replacement is fine. Did not have the same problem as the first. Overall the umbrella is good quality.

And so could the angle of the video but it shows enough lol. Let's get into it: When i first opened the packaging the umbrella handle was rather dirty; in the picture you can see it from one angle as i can only upload one video but it's dirty all the way round. This first put me off even wanting to use it but I tried it anyway. I had gotten 2 different ones to compare the quality. This one had a good weight to it and felt like the sturdy umbrella i typically use during rainy seasons so i liked that. The main thing i Didn't like was that it was a bit fiddley when it came to putting it up and down. There is a button on the handle with and Up and Down arrow but the button only seems to help the umbrella open and does nothing to help it pull down. When trying to close it, I struggled to find the clip that keeps it pulled down. This was quite bothersome as it was not easy to pull it down, the umbrella had a lot of force, so holding it down while trying to find the clip was just really annoying. Maybe it's okay for people with a bit more patience but it's just not for me. This being said, i didn't even try to use it outside cause i didn't feel like trying to open and close it again so apologies for not being able to speak on the ability to shield in the sun but yeah. I wouldn't necessarily reccomend it until closing it is way easier. In terms of weight, i don't find it heavy at all, i find it to be the same weight as any good sturdy umbrella that can stand a strong breeze. Another thing i like is that it actually closes like a normal umbrella, unlike the other one i got which i will link below or u can find on my profile to see my review. Nice quality. Looks lovely pattern is on the inside so user sees it. It is a little bit stiff to close, but opens very quickly. Won't turn inside out .

This is a brilliant sunbrella! I have another, which is pretty and lacy and works well but it's a pain in the backside to close up. This one has a button that both pops it open and pops it closed. All you have to do is wrap the strap around it and snap closed. Okay, I'd prefer Velcro, as I'm always afraid the snap will break but I hope this will last a good long while. I live in Arizona where it is ridiculously hot and sunny the entire year. I also have a severe case of sun photosensitivity, so this is not the place to live without protecting your skin. I'm packing for a trip to the tropics next week and wanted to take along a sunbrella so thought I'd give this one a try. I've already been outside to give it a go. Popped up and fully outright in a split second. Covers me well. I stood outside by the pool with my back to the sun and, though the backs of my legs quickly heated up, my arms were cool and comfortable. I took the umbrella away and immediately felt the difference. The black interior makes such a difference in protecting one's skin. The flower pattern is so cheery. Can't wait to walk the beaches, let the surf tickle my toes, surround myself with sunshine and not be touched by the wicked rays!
