I liked the nice quality finish of the chrome version which is highly polished & easy to keep clean. Unfortunately the smooth surface of the adjustment cap makes it very difficult to grip without a good pair of Marigolds or similar gloves. This style of TRV is best suited to older heating systems with a header tank and the 1/2 inch thread fitting is ideal for traditional radiator installations which may have very closely coupled pipework. Since having our new condensing boiler fitted the system now runs sealed with an internal pressure of 1.5bar, as do most recent central heating installations. We have found that these Cascade TRV's become difficult to turn against this extra pressure behind the valves and a textured or knurled finish actuator would have been better than the smooth gloss. By contrast the lockshield is easy to adjust making the job of balancing very straightforward and the included decorators cap will be extremely useful.The actual valve and spring assembly seems good quality with a smooth action while the TRV head and locking nut are both chromed plastic.

Lovely match for our new radiators however the O ring on one of the items was damaged which resulted in a slight leak.

Works fine does the job

Really good match for the anthracite radiator. The cost was a bit more than the previous one I bought but the quality is so much better, there is no wobble on it. You get what you pay for I suppose. Perfect fit!

Nicely chromed quality valves with a good sized bore. Flat faced for easy future disconnection if radiators without straining pipe work. Takes 30mm TRV head (Eg Drayton) if you are looking at smart TRVs like Wiser.

Units look really nice and match the anthracite radiator well but the thread into the radiator from both valves were extremely difficult to gain a seal. It seems that they are a little undersized and needed an extreme amount of PTFE befor I could stop the weeping. Problem is every time it leaks you have to refrain the system to re-tape and try again
