Metallica: The Complete Illustrated History

I bought this for my son for Christmas as he is a huge Metallica fan. He said it was the most comprehensive account of the band's history he has ever seen. He especially liked the many pictures from early in their career to present day.

A gift to my nephew, a big Metallica fan. He said it contained many photos he'd not see before. He was very happy with it.

What Martin Popoff doesn't know about hard rock/metal is not worth knowing. There is no bigger fan out there with his sense and feel for the music, it's context within the wider musical world and also each major acts influence within the genre. Here again, Popoff puts together an attractive book full of great photos and analysis with the help other journalists. Loads of interviews, tour flyers and tshirts from the archives. The Metallica machine and their legions of fans will be happy with this effort, as always the early photos and history stands out, and there is plenty of that in this book. A must have coffee table book for every Metallica fan out there. I got mine second hand, but it looks perfectly new!
