Oh hell yes
Probably the most hilarious thing out of Japan in awhile. My only complaints are... the device chews through batteries rather quicky (you'll get about 2 hours out of a 4 AAA's batteries) but that's easily defeated with two sets of rechargable batteries The ear socks and foamies it comes with stock are rather plain. (new ones are 14$ and up though) as far as the device itself, besides it seeming pretty fragile it works great! It's fun to see your emotions and thoughts displayed through the ears and how they react to different people. If i stick them on my 5 year old daughter, they almost permanantly stay up and tend to wiggle a lot until she gets sleepy. (yes they continue moving and reacting to your brain even when your dreaming...pretty neat) But on an adult they tend to chill out until they're intrigued about something.. also try scaring someone while they wear these (hilarity ensues) I can totally see these being next christmas' must have gift (=^_^=)

2 sets broke within an hour
My 2 daughters had birthday money and they had been wanting these ears for awhile so they each decided to use their birthday money on a set of these ears. So we purchased 2 sets. They arrived promptly and my kids were so excited. They had watched videos so they knew exactly how to work them. First time my 11 year old put the ear clip on, the clip broke. About a half hour later my 9 year old put her clip on and it also broke. So both ear clips broke within an hour of these things arriving. My kids used small rubberbands to "fix" the ear clips and they are able to clip onto their ears but not sure how well they are clipped on. The ears seem to randomly wiggle. My kids love them, but they don't have much concept of money. I expected the plastic clips not to break immediately for the money spent on them. We do plan to return these and because my kids love them, we will buy them new ones. I don't expect those ear clips to last much longer, though.

Great but ...
I love them when I got them and wore them mabey five times waiting mostly on my ear set then when I got them and changed the ears and was putting it on all OK but then the ear thing broke....so now I gotta get that fixed (if possible )making me sad I couldn't use it after my new ear purchase since I didn't care for the default ones. Anyone else have their ear piece break? If so how can it be fixed or should I just ship it back?

Cute and perfect
These necomimi seem to work great. The twitch and rotate and I did notice that when I became focused on one thing (namely something happening on the TV that caught my attention) they did one singular motion twice and not the initial pattern when I first turned them on. I haven't used them for very long just yet but I will be using them over the weekend for my birthday and again for Halloween. They seem to be made for slightly larger heads than my own but still fit comfortably. If you position them properly there's not discomfort with wearing them. We'll see how long the AAA batteries last for me. Oh... don't let a cat near the actual ears... mine tried to eat them.

They wiggle a lot and will delight any crowd.
I ordered two, but one was broken upon opening. The ear clip electrode was completely trashed. OK, so these are a fairly simple EEG device and uses one electrode over the left eyebrow and the ear clip. With fresh robust 4 AAA batteries, the ears really do move quite a bit. When positioned correctly, they will calibrate and then start moving. Do they really reveal your thoughts? Uh...no, but they are cute and will definitely light up any party. You will get loads of stares, giggles, lots of questions and requests to do things with your thoughts. They will also immediately state that they want one as well! They are unique and very novel. They will open an instant conversation about brain EEG and neuro-oscillations. For the price, do get these for anyone fascinated by neuroscience. Some other comments. The electrode is rather difficult to position correctly, the battery pack is kinda tough to get off, the unit will drain batteries very quickly and the gears grinding is really bothersome after a while. they are packaged beautifully and with great instructions, but sadly, the science behind these are really very sketchy as to what exactly they are sensitive to, why they work, etc. The online description of the science is missing as well. But hey, they wiggle and look cool.

This is great!!
This is a great product!!! It is extremely cute and it moves according to my moods. Just make sure that you have batteries when you get them! Sometimes it does take them a while to calibrate. If they seem like they're moving randomly, try turning them on and off. The ear clip is comfortable. However, the band is a little tight and sits uncomfortably on my head. The ears are awesome, they're super soft! Over all I love them!

STICKY!? Definitely used, not great
They really shouldn't advertise this as new, cuz this arrived definitely used and INCREDIBLY gross in the box: little hairs or dust on the parts in contact with your head, the forehead sensor had smudges of something on it, the sensor stem had several splits in the insulation from bending, and it. Was. So. STICKY!!! The battery housing, the bases of the ear motors, and other parts were coated in a very sticky black goo that left residue on anything it touched, stained my hands black, and wouldn't clean off with soapy wet paper towels. I had to cover those parts with plastic wrap to prevent it from leaving mess in my hair and face. Everything else was fine, the fit was a tad tight but I figure it needs to be snug to prevent it from falling- but it also did cause a small headache so maybe don't wear it for a prolonged time. It turned on and moved as it should, but I'm not 100% convinced it's actually reading electrical pulses and not just randomly moving on its own. I'm glad this is only $80, cuz if this came to me in this condition after paying over triple digits, I would be LIVID. So overall, it's an ok toy to mess around with, but if you want legit good quality robotics or a serious costume piece, find something else
