Had the black housing for about 3 years before I decided to replace.Originally loved the look with the gen3 ram.I did notice that the light projection was not as strong as with the prior/original lamps.After about a year, the lens began fogging up/getting that shattered look. I would clean/polish and it would improveDid not have the moisture getting inside the lens issue that others reported3 years later, I decided I may want to look into new ones. They are no longer cleaning/polishing up as well as they once did and look horrible.Not entirely happy with how long they lasted, though after reading reviews - I feel lucky. I came back to amazon to re-order the same ones, but after reading those reviews - I’m going to look into something else.

I just recently purchased a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the 5.9 Diesel engine and absolutely love everything about this truck. Due to the truck being just about 13 years old now, the original headlights that it came with were starting to get faded, peel, and yellow to the point where they looked terrible compared to everything else on the truck. I bought these headlights after searching for aftermarket ones because they looked very sleek and simple. Installing them was a breeze thanks to Youtube videos giving me step by step instructions. When everything was all settled in and in place it made the entire truck look like a whole new vehicle. I think they make the truck look more aggressive and almost like they should have came like this from the factory. The light output isn't great with my stock halogens in them but I plan on, and also recommend anyone else to upgrade to LED bulbs when you get these, but make sure you adjust them properly so that you do not blind traffic.

I've had to come back after a few months and update. These lights are not safe. The parking light/turn signal bulb doesn't have enough clearance therefore the bulb will melt the plastic in the housing. The bulbs with therefore not last long. This appears to be a bad design and a fire hazard. Amazon should not be selling these. I had to remove the plastic material and just leave the bulb only in order to use them.

Update: Downgraded to 2 stars. I've had these installed since Oct '17. They still look pretty good, although the lenses are starting to delaminate around the edges and are somewhat cloudy due to the melting of the plastic as stated in my first review. The center reflector for the turn signal bulbs on both sides are partly melted because of the heat from the bulbs. I'm just using standard incandescents. Contacted the seller twice when I noticed the melting and didn't get a reply. I have a feeling I'm going to end up replacing my headlight housings again in the near future. From a different source.Ordered and installed these housings over a year ago. They look great on my truck and the smoked lenses don't terribly diminish the light output. Adjusting the beam is damn near impossible. The screw turns, but the housing doesn't move... However, they were a major aesthetic upgrade from the stock housings, which were completely clouded over and for the most part, the light beams are close to where they need to be.I recently got some LED headlights and the light output is even better. However, I discovered that the OEM turn signal bulbs have been resting against the stanchions for the turn signal reflector and have since melted it. Leaving the reflector holding on by only one stanchion. Also the smoke from the plastic being melted over time has slightly clouded the lens. Contacted seller over a month and a half ago about warrantying them out and haven't gotten an answer.But again, they look great on a black truck.

While the lights look nice out of the box you will instantly notice that they are much lighter than the pair that came out. Within a year their were bits and pieces of plastic loose in each light. The turn signals were in operative in a little over a years of part time use. The selectors have melted and I’ll be bugging up the OEM pair and putting them back in. You will lose what ever you paid for them and several hours of your life installing and uninstalling these lights.

They look great, compared to the old faded ones, they did not come with headlight bulbs but DID come with turn signal (orange) bulbs. One of those bulbs blew already however, after only being installed for about 2 weeks. They installed somewhat easily.The headlight pattern seems a little strange however, I'm not sure why, but I'm seeing triangular patterns, maybe that's normal, as through my OLD yellow headlights, there was no definition at all, just a GLOW. Nice upgrade to the old truck, just wish the signal bulb had lasted more than 14 days ! (Luckily I kept the old ones, and just popped one in.

Had these for a year and the outside plastic coating is begining to crack. Looks horrible. But that's not even the worst part.The worst part is...I contacted customer service to see if there was something they can do....and its been over 2 weeks and still no response. Completely unacceptable way of doing business. Wouldn't recommend these to anyone...

i've had these on my truck for about 6 months now and they looked great at first but the plastic is too soft and the headlight already look peppers like they have been sand blasted or something... definitely not durable enough to withstand the day to driving that I do but would be great if it were just a show truck
