Outstanding Customer Service — Went Above and Beyond!
We recently purchased this swing set, and while we were very happy with it initially, a strong windstorm unfortunately overturned it and caused significant damage. I reached out to the manufacturer, Backyard Discovery, fully expecting to be told that storm damage wasn’t covered—which is totally understandable. To my surprise, they responded immediately and were incredibly helpful. Even though the damage wasn’t covered under warranty, they still provided the replacement parts at no cost. Their willingness to help and the speed of their response truly impressed me.The swing set itself is great quality and my kids loved it before the storm. But what really sets this company apart is their customer support. Highly recommend!

build experience
it’s a pain in the butt to put together. and i mean realllyyy a pain in the butt. i did most of it myself, with some occasional help from a couple different people and it took about 2 weeks. (3 kids, 3 dogs, and weather were also a factor). pay attention to EVERY detail. you’ll have to make your own holes in some pieces which sucks. some screws/bolts don’t fit in certain spots so we ended up running out of certain ones and having extra of others. it’s a nice playset, it seems durable. and i hope it lasts a while, because i never want to have to build something like this again.

we love this play place
this play house came in a million pieces and was a little intimidating but with a little patience and a few days it can be done just need a good set of tools and a large work space

Love it but it is a big project for the unskilled
I just put this up and my 3 year loves it. I bought because of the wood roof (not just a tarp) and playhouse. However these items are what make it so time consuming. Also installation tips: do an inventory check. I was shorted several wood parts. it takes about 2 weeks to get these after ordering. Also I organized each part alphabetically (don't laugh, it helps). If I had it to over I would lay out all the pieces to each section before I even started the first step. After seeing how much my son loves this set with the playhouse I'm glad he has it. But I'm a busy mom and I wanted to do as much of this myself as I could. But it was a nightmare to put together because every little cute detail needs to be assembled. Every time I would start on it, it would rain, or my son would "need me" or being hanging off me. This is not a simple project that is easy for the person with no carpentry skill and little time. Make sure you have a full (2 days) to work uninterrupted with clear weather. They do have a # to call to have someone put it together for you. I would do that if I had to do it again. It would be worth it.Update two years later. I downgraded my rating from 3 to 1 stars. This is a piece of junk. Everytime the wind blows it rips this to pieces. Do not buy. Pay the money for one of those "built rite" super expensive playsets because as it stands now the play set is just a leaning tower to my stupidity for purchasing something so cheap.

It’s ok but i have concerns
After browsing to find the right one for our yard we settled on this model. For the price it seemed like a good deal. It came after a couple weeks which I was ok with as it is a large item, and once unpacked we got to work assembling. So here is where I found some faults. A couple of the larger boards were already split and there was quite a few boards that did not have the pre drilled screw holes. Some of the boards had a rough finish which is not what I was expecting but for me the split pieces made this a regrettable purchase. I managed to replace some pieces with some wood I bought and cut the same size but that should not be necessary at all. (See pics)At the end of the day it took 2 of us most of the day to assemble and fix what needed it and it’s now being used by the kids but this could have been a lot better if only the quality control was better.Buy with caution

I recommend this set. A lot of activities for the children and a fair price compared to other sets.
l'm going to give this set a 5 Star even though there are some things you should know before buying one, and there are a couple of suggestions I would make to the manufacturer. The directions for the most part are easy enough to follow. There are a few slight mis-prints that are not really a problem. It would be very helpful of the manufacturer would take more time to label stamp each piece of lumber. Most of them are stamped just fine, but some are not getting a clear number stamp on them. Again, not a problem that can't be sorted out. It took my two son-in-laws and I about 15 hours to assemble the set. No doubt two men can do it, but three is surely better, especially of you have at least two really good drill drivers on site. Ones with enough torque to really snug up all the bolts that are used. There were exactly the correct number of boards and parts in the boxes. No shortage of anything, which was very nice! In fact we had extra bolts, nuts, and washers. The set comes in two pretty heavy boxes, so get them unloaded from the truck as close as possible to the erection site. We segregated all like boards and pieces before starting, as well as all nuts, bolts, washers, etc. This was huge help! We leaned the boards up against a fence, set up a separate table for the nuts, bolts, and washers. Then used two saw horses and a sheet of heavy plywood for an assembly table. This was also a huge help and highly recommended. You will need to drill some holes, but 95% of them are already drilled. Pay close attention when you begin assembly that you get the main frame boards facing the right direction. We had to unbolt and couple and turn them around. Not a big deal though. We worked 7 hours Saturday, 5.5 hours Sunday afternoon, and a couple of hours late Monday afternoon to finish up. I highly recommend this set! My five grandchildren love it!! My best suggestions are above and to have all the tools you need, plenty of room, good help, and stay organized. We had fun putting it together!
