Nice set of clippers. Kept my bitches cool this summer
I have two coarse haired rescue dogs. I bought this product because it was not cheap and had a rotary motor. I had gone through two sets of cheapies in two years. THis is a really nice tool. It cut though their course coats like butter and kept them cool this summer. For nails I recommend this: Dremel 750-02 Minimite. It is probably the best 30 bucks I have ever spent and doesn't hurt them like the clippers did.So for the cost of two trips to the groomers, I have my girls taken care of for a long time.

Great Purchase
I had a Wahl clipper for 20 years that worked great. After 20 years, it recently started giving me some trouble, so I purchased a new one of a different brand at the store. The new other brand clipper couldn't handle my cocker spaniel's thick fur. Since the Wahl clipper I had worked great for so many years, I decided to look for a new Wahl clipper. I'm so glad I did. This clipper is efficient and quiet and does a great job on my Spaniel, just like the one I had. I am really pleased with my purchase.

electric dog clipper kit
It is what I expected to be. Good make and easy to use it. I like it because my dog has a lot of long hair (Husky-German Shepherd)and I need something that will last and not burn the motor fast. Very good product.

Not strong enough
I have a Maine Coon type cat, extremely good natured. He's been given a lion cut by groomers 3 times. I bought these clippers hoping they would perform well enought for the job to be done in 20 minutes, which is about how long it took the last groomer, for whom I held the cat. But these clippers were not as fast or strong. Took an hour to do 2/3s of the cat: and he was severely tried as the clippers would pull the hair. With much oiling and much soothing we got only part of the job done. If you don't want to torture an animal with this type of coat, you'll have to get the premium clippers I suppose. For animals with lighter coats, these clippers might do fine.

Not sure if you even sharpened these.
Not enough hair length attachments, and it does poorly when cutting thick dog hair. They cut as if the blades were very dull.

just plain lousy
I have had these less than a year and use them to trim my mini schnauzer after he's had a wash and dry. First they are heavy and after the first couple of uses, they tended to get pretty warm even though I use a cooler spray that I bought along with the clippers. I replaced the blades because they got dull pretty fast as well..I've had cheaper clippers that lasted longer and cut better. Now the motor runs but the clippers don't move at all. I've taken extremely good care of these, oiling and cleaning after every use so why they aren't working is beyond me. I've priced the cost of shipping and having the unit repaired and it's going to cost close to $60.......I think I'll spend the money on different clippers because these just aren't worth squat.

I used clipper for the first time and was amazed at how well it worked. My dog has coarse hair and it took me a while to get the job done, but the dog tolerated the buzzing sound and clipper did not overheat as other brands do. I do recommend this clipper for anyone who wants to pay a reasonable price for a good working clipper.

No head for a chow dog with a thick undercoat.
This is an excellent heavy duty clipper but it does not come with the size of head that I really need for my chow dog's thick undercoat..1/2 inch.
